Did Ford have the best line up of all time around 2017

For a brief moment around 2017ish it seemed like Ford had a good fun car in every class. In Australia, at least they had
Small Car: Fiesta ST
Medium Car: Focus ST
Large Car: Ford Falcon- XR6 turbo and XR8
Muscle/Sport Car : Ford Mustang
Midside Ute/Truck: Ranger Raptor (technically 2018, but I'll count it)
Large Truck: F150 Raptor (not sold in aus of course)
Supercar: Ford GT
If they only released the Bronco a bit earlier and maybe kept the Territory turbo around a bit longer they would have had a great offroader and suv as well.
I can't think of any brand that has had that many driver focus models out at once to cover the whole range of cars, especially in an affordable price range.

If variety of choices and having something in every category is important to you then perhaps.
In 2017 I would (and did) probably pick from the BMW lineup. The gremlins of the first gen turbo engines were gone and there were great choices for everything. From small economical diesel hatchbacks and wagons, classy sedans, through some of the best sporty coupes (I actually have a 2017 M2) to excellent large luxury SUVs.

Your also missing the best wagon/van ever built. The 3.5 ecoboost Flex.
YellowFogLights@reddit
It shared quite a few components with the SHO. Suspension, brakes, and steering rack are the big ones.

Had the same Vt at highest trim, the Flex could scoot

I did as well. I loved the thing. It had the highest rebuy rate in the USA and was only beaten by the 911 which took the spot back after it was pulled from sale.
Osprey097@reddit
Even had the crazy Focus RS in 2017
headcoat2013@reddit
Also the GT 350 and Taurus SHO.
Jeffrey_Jizzbags@reddit
Also the fusion sport with the 2.7 ecoboost and 380 lb-ft of torque

Early-mid-2000s Ford Europe surely takes it? Mondeo ST220, MK1 Focus RS and ST170, first Fiesta ST, S-Max, Sport/StreetKa, original Puma and Cougar.
You could also take any time from the advent of the MK1 Escort (1967)to the end of the MK2 Escort (1980), where they’d have had the Escort, Cortina, Capri, MK1 Fiesta, the advent of the Transit and Granada. All legendary cars.

You forgot the Ford GT there too lol.
Although I think the new versions just edge it out tbh. The newest hot Fiestas and Focuses are better than the 2000s imo.

1996 will always be peak North American Ford for my heart.
Then we can't forget their Mercury stablemates

Ford was making absolute bangers. So many options. I think in 2017 they were still selling the ecoboost AND v6 mustang AND V8 mustang. Literally options for every price point. Still holding onto my fiesta st until something else can replace it in the US.

Modern Ford has always had an interesting lineup. In the 2000s, they have a bunch of V10 trucks and vans. The Thunderbird came back. The Mustang went retro. The released the Excursion, which seemed insane at the time. The Ford GT came out.
They're always doing something interesting at Ford. They have severe build quality issues at times, but they make cool stuff. On the Chevy vs Ford debate I've always leaned towards Ford.
FruhBruh@reddit
They really did have a COMPETITIVE performance car in every price range. In the big 26 we have a 4000lb mustang and the maverick lobo
kstetter@reddit
The Falcon was discontinued in 2016
V8-Turbo-Hybrid@reddit
Yep, that’s reason why Mustang come to OZ because it’s Falcon replacement despite 2-door only.
kilertree@reddit
At least for the 6R80 and Coyote combo. It is almost impossible to find a 4x4 2015-2017 F-150 5.0 short bed 2dr.
w3stvirginia@reddit
In the US we also had the Taurus SHO.
w3stvirginia@reddit
And Australia didn’t get the F150 Raptor…
SavageryRox@reddit
but NA didn't get the 1st gen Ranger Raptor or the Falcon.
DoublePostedBroski@reddit
Falcon?!
Oh. Australia. I thought I missed something.
mrporque@reddit
Nah Honda had the best line up around like maybe 96, just when the S2000 came out.
DodgerBlueRobert1@reddit
Uhh, the S2000 came out in '99 for the 2000 model year.
OldKentRoad29@reddit
Are you dense? They're asking about ford specifically.
cz03se@reddit
lol wtf. They’re asking if specifically if the 2017 ford is the best, so to compare with a lineup one thinks is better would make sense, are you stupid?
SavageryRox@reddit
you think the late 90s Honda lineup was the best lineup of all time from any brand??
Mk2Guru@reddit
What did they have for muscle car, a light pickup, medium truck and supercar? Their line up seems pretty lacking.
konck@reddit
When they had the prelude and S2000
