Got approached by a service based company, which is hiring for Gitlab India. Gitlab manager says they are not hiring FTEs at the moment.
Will it reflect bad on my resume to join reputed company via third party? I have always worked as FTE till now

In general you're going to want to avoid that company.

Rule 3: No General Career Advice
This sub is for discussing issues specific to experienced developers.
Any career advice thread must contain questions and/or discussions that notably benefit from the participation of experienced developers. Career advice threads may be removed at the moderators discretion based on response to the thread."
General rule of thumb: If the advice you are giving (or seeking) could apply to a “Senior Chemical Engineer”, it’s not appropriate for this sub.

Why would it reflect bad? In reality, what matters is what you achieve in a role rather than a position title

Till now I have worked in famous US MNC. FAANG equivalent. This will be the first unknown company that I will be working at. Hence the bad reflectio

You care more for optics than what you actually do and contribute. Even if you work for a famous MNC but your work there doesn’t have impact then it’s less material than actually shipping a product from a smaller company. If you care about perception over contribution, then don’t join.

If you take it as a second full time job, it doesn't matter

The role is for full time only. Part time is not available

Gitlab is hiring via remotech.ai. I found these roles when I was searching. Not sure when they were posted though.
