How many cups of tea/coffee do you get through at work?

Feels like the day is just measured in cups of tea at this point
Chuffing_Knackered@reddit
One cup of coffee, around 2pm. The rest of the day I just drink juice.
Victorius_Meldrus@reddit
5-6, BUT THEY'RE DOUBLES SO EFFECTIVELY 10-12
Postik123@reddit
About 20 cups of coffee a day. I really need to change that
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Do you switch to decaf halfway?
Postik123@reddit
No, but I don't drink it after 6pm
DoctorOctagonapus@reddit
Caffeine is a lot slower release than you realise. 2pm is really the time to be stopping.
NoFewSatan@reddit
Bullshite
mdmnl@reddit
I used to be like that. Was easy to remedy, down to one a day.
Postik123@reddit

Yikes
dinkidoo7693@reddit
Im a trainee barista and i get free drinks on shift, I usually have at least one an hour, the caffeine addiction on my days off is crazy
DoctorOctagonapus@reddit
Dude you should really switch to decaf. Caffeine addiction is no joke
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
I don't blame you, I love barista coffee!
ZeroFrogsHere@reddit
I would probably do this if I had that deal but a cup of coffee an hour is awful for your body, look after yourself
dinkidoo7693@reddit
Its not all coffee, can have tea and milkshakes too but sometimes on a busy shift its definitely needed
royals796@reddit
Fair play, I would be shitting my brains out on the daily
munday97@reddit
That's not healthy at all man
Intruder313@reddit
1 before work and 1 when I go out to get another
When not at work I have both before midday
No_Doubt_About_That@reddit
Take in my own drink instead.
Been using Bottlegreenās lime and mint cordial as tastes like youāre having a mojito but without the alcohol.
UnrivalledPG@reddit
None. Just water and electrolytes and some white monster every now and then.
wnttak@reddit
Pre-pregnancy, 3-5 and I work from home.
Beginning_Jacket5055@reddit
On average I'd say around 0.05 cups a day
International-Wear57@reddit
Just 1 Stanley cup of tea (0.87L).
DiskBytes@reddit
About 20 probably.
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Tea or coffee?
DiskBytes@reddit
Mostly coffee.
pm_me_your_amphibian@reddit
At least 3 coffees. Sometimes a tea or a Milo in the afternoon during winter. Occasionally a decaf.
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Whats milo?
Steampunkcat123@reddit
0
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Water only?
Steampunkcat123@reddit
Diet coke and water
IllustriousApple1091@reddit
Respect. I accidentally let my caffeine addiction tick up and up by first developing a diet coke addiction. I've kicked the (diet) coke habit now, have substituted it for tea, and am now trying to get down to 0. I don't like feeling dependant on something, regardless of if I enjoy it.
Mikey463@reddit
2-3. last cup will be midday.
CtrlShiftAaron@reddit
I used to drink 13 cups a day during work hours
Iām down to 2-3 now
JustNoGuy_@reddit
None because I don't take breaks.
Polz34@reddit
I don't drink tea or coffee BUT I do have a sugar free energy drink each morning. And occasionally a peppermint tea
Temporary-Zebra97@reddit
Usually a coffee every 40-60 mins. Sometimes more sometimes less, depending on meeting volume.
ConsciousSky5968@reddit
2 coffees in the morning, 2 decaf earl grey, 2 herbal teas.
yaffle53@reddit
One at 10, one at 3.
thewoefulchasm@reddit
3 coffees in the morning, I dread to think how many teas in the afternoon but definitely a lot š¤£
HappyHits@reddit
5
MaleficentUnion2804@reddit
1 or 2 cups of oolong tea. Iāve been drinking the one from PiPi itās slightly sweet but still gives a nice energy boost without feeling too heavy
adamneigeroc@reddit
3 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon for me
VFrosty3@reddit
Iāve cut down massively in the last couple of years, in the hope itād sort out my sleep health and my mental health. I currently have 1-2 cups of tea a day and aim to not have any after midday. Before that, I was drinking about 5-8 cups a day.
tinkabellmiggins@reddit
I drink 2 big mugs of filter coffee in the morning, about 2/3s of a pot. I make a full pot of decaf around 11 and drink that during the day.
KookyFarmer7@reddit
Generally 2, one cup of each.
I bring my own with me cause the coffee at my office is basic instant coffee that tastes nasty.
PartTimeLegend@reddit
I work from home. Itās 11:15am and Iāve had 4 cups of tea.
grazerline@reddit
Anywhere between 3 or 4 in the morning, and a couple in the afternoon. I tend not to have sugar in the afternoons as 6 teaspoons a day is a lot! I used to believe I was sensitive to caffiene but I can drink coffee until the evening and still sleep reasonably well.
atinywaverave@reddit
I make like 10. I actually manage to drink about 3
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
What happens to the other 7?!
atinywaverave@reddit
They go cold on the side in the staff kitchen because I forget or don't get time to drink them!
InviteAromatic6124@reddit
None, I don't drink either. I don't need caffeinated drinks to get me through a day.
UndulatingUnderpants@reddit
4 or 5
Strong_Roll5639@reddit
Usually 2 but they're decaf š
QueefInMyKisser@reddit
Two or three coffees then two or three teas then two or three herbal teas
AlfCosta@reddit
I have a black coffee on the go all day
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
I've just recently switched to black coffee at work, do you take it with sugar?
AlfCosta@reddit
No. Tbh, Iām a tea drinker but I had to radically cut down after I had kidney stones. Now I mainly drink cheap black coffee. Itās not the same but I refuse to spend too much money on it. Iāll save that for my evening cup of tea ha!
AllThatIHaveDone@reddit
None, tea and coffee are undrinkablely bitter to me.
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
What do you drink at work?
AllThatIHaveDone@reddit
Water or orange squash.
iloovehugecock@reddit
I have a matcha in the morning and then sometimes an iced coffee at lunch. Thatās it b
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Very nice
dreamribbons@reddit
2 cups of coffee in the office, 1 if I'm wfh. The worst thing is I end up nursing them so they're cold by the time I end up finishing them š«
MangoonianLord@reddit
Counting or not counting decaf?
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Counting both
GrabbedByTheGhost@reddit
Everyone posting here needs to read up on how unfiltered coffee (pretty much all bean to cup machines and several others) raises your LDL cholesterol over time.
This is relatively new research. But its worth a read.
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
I'll definitely research thanks
SGRiggall@reddit
About 3/4 but it playing havoc with my stomach at the moment so Iāve stopped for a bit
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Its creating havoc with mine too in the mornings
PuzzleheadedCarob921@reddit
Zero
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Fair enough
wondered-bongo@reddit
Maybe 5 or 6. I have to pee all the time
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Relatable
barriedalenick@reddit
I used to work night shift with free coffee. 12 hour shifts = 12 cups of coffee! The cycle home was great but I normally required a few glasses of wine to calm down once I got home
superwisk@reddit
Depends how annoying coworkers are being.
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Very true
asterallt@reddit
These replies have made me feel so much better. I tend to have 3-4 instant a day at home. In the office I start with a four shot coffee then maybe have another two flat whites. I think Iām more concerned about the fucking milk than caffeine at this stage.
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Can't beat a frothy coffee tbh
OptionalQuality789@reddit
I have a morning coffee when I log on. Maybe an afternoon one rarely.
BaBaFiCo@reddit
Probably 3-6 cups of tea over the day.
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
No coffee?
BaBaFiCo@reddit
I don't drink coffee.
deppyjon@reddit
2-3 coffees a day every day pretty much regardless of whatās going on
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
I am the same on a workday! Weekends is usually just the one
WelshBen@reddit
Used to be about 7 or 8 but now i've got it down to 1 or 2. Constantly making and then drinking tea/coffee really saps productivity.
Extreme-Banana-9@reddit (OP)
Agreed! Max 2 hot drinks in the work day for me now
Hertstom@reddit
3 first thing, no more after
VolcanicBear@reddit
3 coffees, all in the morning. I avoid alcohol after midday unless I know I'll be drinking/smoking that evening.
AXX-100@reddit
2/3
Particular-Lime1651@reddit
1 coffee in the morning before, 1 when I start, last 1 late morning, then 2 teas in the day. Water in the evening at home. Sooo 5 total
MuayJudo@reddit
Relatively rookie numbers from me I imagine, and I don't drink coffee. One tea in the morning, one after lunch to pick me up.
Obvious-Water569@reddit
Maybe three a week.
I made some pretty big diet and lifestyle changes at the start of this year. Lost two and a half stone and, as an unexpected benefit, I've kicked my caffiene addiction.
These days I tend to just get a coffee to warm my hands up.
Ready-Fox-3264@reddit
Itās usually 2 x coffee and 3 x tea
tannercolin@reddit
One before work, one at morning break
We have free lavazza coffee all day at work, half the staff are wired all day. I was the same initially but would get horrendous anxiety around midday without fail.
BalthazarOfTheOrions@reddit
I don't drink tea. Given that I am a coffee addict it fluctuates wildly because on occasion I try to go caffeine free for a few months.
These days I stop after 2-3 at work, when I worked at an Italian restaurant in my 20s it wasn't unusual for me to have 5-6 espressos per shift.
Kaiisim@reddit
Cup of coffee then upto 3 teas.
Tbh the way we make tea in the UK it's really tea flavoured hot water.
I don't find the caffeine affects me
markusparkus75@reddit
Two coffees before 12 pm. Strictly herbal teas after that.
griffaliff@reddit
Sometimes one coffee in the morning, but usually none of either. Just water and the occasional afternoon can of Red Bull.
GALM-1UAF@reddit
I work from home and used to do 2 a day. Now zero. Making sure to get to bed on time helps. I love coffee and prefer it when itās a weekend at a nice coffee shop so I can actually enjoy it. Realised coffee so early makes me quite anxious in the morning so staying off it for now.
AminaRain@reddit
None. Sometimes herbal or rose tea (decaf) once or twice a week, but generally none.
Scared-Room-9962@reddit
Used to have about 5 or 6 coffees.
But I suffer from migraines and headaches and in a bid to reduce this I've made huge reductions in things that trigger them, like cheese and caffeine.
Now I have 1 coffee a day (I get a headache if I don't lol)
Savanarola79@reddit
Generally 0 cups āļø
Heathy-Heatherson@reddit
Like 3 or 4?
Heathy-Heatherson@reddit
Like 3 or 4 in office, 4 or 5 WFH?
sneddsdead@reddit
2-3 depending if I grab one before I start
highrouleur@reddit
One at 6, one at 10
wildflower12345678@reddit
1, at my meal break, usually about 8pm, because that's the only chance I get.
negras@reddit
Used to be 3 by 9am, every meeting requires a fresh cup of tea.
tulki123@reddit
Intravenous drip at this point
mdmnl@reddit
Six to twelve Americanos from the machine at work or a cafetiere-full if at home.
Jamie2556@reddit
I usually have two, but Iām only in for six hours and I try not to have caffeine after 3pm so itās mainly just habit.
ServerLost@reddit
Three- morning, lunch and before exercise. Down from 10-12 in my real caffeine junky days.
undefetter@reddit
Depends on the day, the days which are all meetings with 30 minute gaps between them are the worst. What other option is there to do anything productive than go make a coffee to prep for the next meeting. Those days it can easily hit 7 or 8. Another contributing factor is it a WFH day or an Office day. I work 2 days a week in the office, and those days I drink easily 3x as much coffee that I do at home just because the office has a coffee machine and I don't have one at home!
Normal WFH Day: 1-3 Normal Office Day: 3-5 Meeting riddled Office day: 4-8
eternal_entropy@reddit
Anywhere between 3 and 7. It depends on how the day is going, and how early my toddler has woken me up.
No_Offer_4404@reddit
Used to be in 4-6 range as I was on tea duties alot to stop my team from time wasting. Then I realised I don't need to make one for myself too and noticed a decline in anxiety haha
