My RX7800 XT cuts off the display signal randomly.

My Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X
- GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT
- Motherboard: Gigabyte X870 GAMING X WIFI7 (Rev. 1.x)
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL36 DDR5
- PSU: Cooler Master G800 Gold ATX 12V V2.52
The gpu cuts off the display signal randomly while gaming or using Editing software(Premiere or After Effects) but the system audio stays on and also the RGB on the GPU stays on, it doesnt happen all the time, i could be playing hours of Overwatch or editing a video and suddenly the display signal gets cut off, and i do not understand how to recreate this issue. It even happens while watching YT, the video still keeps on playing and i can control the video with the media buttons on my keyboard, but no display
After the crashes, i have to force shutdown and boot it up again, sometimes th drivers are still ther and the pc boots up normally, but sometimes the gpu is disabled, i have to enable it in the device manager and reinstall drivers for it to again get back to using the GPU. I ran benchmarks and stress tests, which returned above average or normal scores without crashing once during the tests.
Things I’ve tried after going through many threads on the similar issue:
- DDU and reinstalled display drivers, i tried installing the drivers from windows update and the AMD Website’s official drivers(with and without the Adrenaline Software).
- Undervolting and limiting the clock speed on gpu using Adrenaline.
- Turning off the EXPO mode on RAM.
- Formatting the C: drive and Reinstalling Windows.
My GPU is still under warranty and I can RMA, but based on the RMA history and reputation, it is very uncertain in my location, it could take weeks or months and be stuck. So RMA is my last option but i want to see what more i can do before that.
Very Specific Scenarios when my GPU did this:
- I was playing Overwatch, the crash keeps on happening in midst a real match so i decided to just stay in the practice range, it was perfectly normal i was roaming around, then i queued for a real match, then at the pregame screen, the gpu cut the signal and i could still hear the system audio.
- I was watching Youtube Videos and I started up my After Effects and was doing my usual work, which did include using Advanced 3D and Cinema 4D Renderers, and then i had to switch to Premiere, so to be careful not to crash it, i closed after effects and opened up premiere while watching a YT video, as soon as i could see the premiere start up screen and it loaded the projects tab, the signal got cut.

Sounds like overheating - Maybe take the card out, blow it with a datavac or something (hold the fans while doing so)
And monitor the temps while gaming.

i don't think it's overheating, because it happens even when I jus boot the pc and use youtube or something, when gpu util is low, and it also went through benchmark tests like 3d mark

Hi! I had the same problems as you. But first of all, have you ever tried using a benchmark for the GPU, like OCCT or Furmark? With this, we can discard some components.
Do you have a riser (the extension cable from the motherboard to the GPU to use it vertically)? My problem was that; I just replaced it. Sometimes I just cleaned the pins and it worked for a while, but I changed it and now it works perfectly.
