Kings School Test Prep vs Actual Exam

Hey guys so I have my PAR written exam this Saturday and im doing pretty well on my practice tests as I have been studying for 4+ hours daily. Here on Kings I'm getting low 90s and one 97 and on the sporty's practice exams im getting around the same(low 90s). I still need to review some more memorization stuff that slips in my mind(expiration dates and Airspace limits)aswell as VOR's( I get the concept but slip up on test questions) but I am meeting with a tutor in the morning to get better with that. My main concern though is stuff coming up on the exam that ive never seen before on my practice exams. What do you guys think and also should I purchase the ASA PrepWare exams and take those up until the day of the exam to get new questions or is that too much?( I need at least a 90 to qualify for a very important program) Any advice is very much appreciated.

I did Gold Seal and then spammed Sporty's free practice tests, where I was consistently getting 90-97%
Got a 90% on the actual exam in person. In my opinion, no need to buy extra courses. The Sporty's questions are good enough.
You do need to pay close attention when you get something wrong and understand the why, but if you're doing that and doing well on these practice exams you should be able to pass the in-person exam too.
Note that the question wording, airports/sectionals used in the questions will be different on the real exam, but the techniques are the same.
Highly recommend getting an ASA CX-3 calculator before the test and learning how to use it extensively, there were 4-5 questions on my actual test that were easily solved with that calculator that otherwise would have taken me a ton of extra time (and been more error prone) with an E6-B. You can always return it after the test if you buy it on Amazon.

Sounds good I appreciate the advice. How long ago did you take yours. Also funny enough i did just last week purchase a cx-3 and I’ve been using it for problems but I’m not as familiar as I could be so you have any recommendations on how to?

I took mine on April 1 just a few weeks ago.
I learned through simply trying it on every problem I got related to wind correction, density altitude, etc until I had mastered all of its functions

Learn the Airspace Triangle. Draw it when you sit down to take the test.
Learn the VOR Orienter. Draw it when you sit down to take the test.
For any math questions doodle out a picture. Think what the answer's ballpark value should be. Then solve.
Treat each question as three true/false questions. Not just one multiple choice. Be sure of the two F options as well (not "aswell") as the single T.
Take your time. Be smart.
Good luck; do your best.
Break.
It sounds a lot like you are focussing on what the questions are rather than knowing the material. If you know the material you can answer any question...
