The first time I heard about "Meat and three" was from the game 20th Century Food Court in Last Call BBS. Given the developer's tendency towards making things at least somewhat realistic (though 20th Century Food Court was intended to be a parody of wildly inaccurate historical and archaeological exhibits), I figured meat and three was a real thing somewhere, and this helps confirm that!
