I first became familiar with this car when I first saw Skyfall and later saw it in person at the International Spy Museum. Might be a bit of a hot take since I just learned it's been in other films before then.

It started being in the films when it was a new vehicle at the time.
Aside from being the iconic bond vehicle, its one of my favorite cars of all time design wise.

It was slightly disappointing to see a 1.6 diesel Astra beat it easily round a track on TopGear?

I believe it was the actual prototype for that particular model car.

I went to the International Spy Museum years ago. Have they moved it away from the lobby? It was beneath the stairs. You could look down into the interior and see that it had the switchbox and electronic map.

I don’t know. This was in 2018.

First appearance: Goldfinger (1964)

Am I just missing something or didn’t the Goldfinger DB5 have the machine guns come out from behind the turn signals?
KeeganY_SR-UVB76@reddit
It did.

I know I am old, but happy to see I wasn’t hallucinating memories.
And why the hell did someone downvote me for being correct? Reddit I guess.
