Good Honda, Toyota Mechanic in plano?

Looking for a trusted Mechanic shop that isn’t the dealership pushing sales. If the car needs $5000 repair let me know instead of $200 here and there.
Christian brothers seem like when they stump they won’t own up and admit it …but seems to push sales and more diagnostic. Instead of hey is electronic computer faulty issue and it gonna cost a whole lot to might not ever find a solution…since the battery is good, starter is good, spark plugs good. Car only has trouble turning over in cold weather but no issues in if left out in sun and warm up by noon time it runs. Jumping car works but sometimes engage in limp mode.

Don’t got to Christian brothers I’ve had experience with them and Jfc
It’s not in Plano but Lewisville about 30 min away, Simon Auto Repair off of Round Grove Rd. It’s a private shop so smaller but the owner took in my Honda Accord, used the part (accelerator) that I bought myself instead of forcing me to purchase through his business, and my car was done same within 24 hours. When I went to pick it up he said he also replaced an air intake that was cracked but he wouldn’t charge me for the part or labor on that. All in all it was $300 flat cash and been running strong 5+ years later.

There is one in Addison

Heck out Jake’s Mobil Wrenches. He comes to you and is very reasonable and doesn’t upsell. Did some work for me recently and was very pleased. Can find his reviews on Google.

How old is your battery?

It brand new…I traded the Acura in for another Honda during covid. Basically I found the potential problem in google eventually it very $ to fix better to get another car. Sometimes the wire in the A pillar is not well insulated moisture can drip down along inside A pillar into some electronic board …or a minor fender bender has done some minor damage shift to some wire to electronic board somewhere. Cars these days are like computers. if a hard reset doesn’t work …good luck tracking it down when they plug isn’t their diagnostic computer and everything it good

If it's "brand new" it should be under manufacturer's warranty.
If it's out of warranty, and it's a Honda or Acura, Hondew Shop as others have said. Floyd Circle, down by TI. They will shoot straight, tell you what you need right now, what can wait, and will tell you when the car isn't worth the cost of the repairs any more.

If I don't DIY I take my cars here. I met the owner when we both were working at David mcdavid Acura in the early aughts.

Hondew shop (Honda) and Davenport Motors (Toyota). Been happy with both.

Hondew in North Dallas/Richardson is great for Hondas. Now that I don't have a Honda, Allison's Auto in Plano seems pretty good and honest, but I'm not 100% sold on them yet.

Second Hondew. They use OEM parts and fluids and are straight with you. They even have the Honda TSB to not use fluid additives posted (a lot of dealers push these additives for the extra sales).

If u want the best price all local mom a pop dealerships who have good reviews . Like a decent shop with 15-30 cars and just ask them who they use to fix their cars . Typical they already down the hard work for u and found the most economical solution.
There is literally no difference between the big retail dealers Main Street shops . The real value is always unseen and working in the back .you just gotta put in the effort to find it .

Rallye auto is close to plano and they get my vote.

We took our cars to Autobahn on Regal (Independence and 15th) for years. They were always very honest, and much cheaper than the dealership. That being said, we did buy new cars and haven’t needed to go there in 4 years or so. I hope they are still great. It would be the first place I would go if something came up.
