Best bike for steep hills?

I have a Faraday and it's a lovely bike, but it doesn't quite suit my needs. My commute is very hilly (at one point there's a 25% grade) and the Faraday is just not making it, forcing me to hop off and walk a long, exhausting, sweaty distance. Plus it has no suspension so the slightest bump in the road rattles my bones in a bad way. So I'm looking for a replacement.
I'm also very short (five feet even) and I've fallen several times when coming to a stop with the Faraday because I can't reach the ground enough to catch myself, so a squat, powerful bike that doesn't cost a fortune is what I'm looking for. Can anyone recommend a direction to start looking?

Look for high torque. 100+ nm would be a good starting place.

70-80 Nm mid could climb literally anywhere...

Ride1up Prodigy V2 low-step mid-drive for $1795.

Get a good mid-drive bike, which drives the crank and therefore utilizes the gears in the same way you would with a regular bike. How much do you want to spend?
And have a dropper post installed. They’re typically for mountain bikes, which is what I ride, and I’m always dropping the seat when I stop so I can be sitting on the seat with my feet on the ground. It also makes dismounting easier. No reason not to put one on a commuter bike.

Specialized Levo is good on hills, and it has an adjustable drop seat that works on he fly!

Mostly Anything with a mid drive (motor with the pedal and not in the wheel) would climb pretty well
