And how would I do that, regarding the age of the earth? All evidence I do have points to it being unfathomably old, the exact age is sorta irrelevant in a way after I reach that conclusion; I trust scientists (also I’m becoming one myself) enough to give me the exact* number
Ok, suppose that’s true, what do I do with this information? Why do I care exactly how unfathomably old the planet is? The point is that it’s at least several million years, the stakes for the precise number are literally zero
Well, artefacts from previous human civilisations puts the number at at least 10k years ago imo, and extinct animal fossils and other geological records show that it has to several million. We can see striations in the crust and in mountains and stuff that show different conditions through time, and through other inferences yield a minimum age for that rock
Actually scratch that, carbon and other radioactive dating is far better proof of any of this. Certain isotope balances in the world essentially prove its age
Again, carbon dating isn’t accurate at all. I didn’t rlly want to have a lengthy discussion here but I guess I’m gonna have to just say it. Everything you’ve been told is basically a lie. And yeah I really mean everything. History, science, it’s all been a massive lie.
You mentioned we live on a planet. We don’t live on a planet. A planet is a wandering star that doesn’t follow the fixed constellations. The stars also aren’t balls of gas in a space vacuum (that would be impossible). We are the centre of creation. Everything in the sky revolves around us, this is observable btw and even mainstream science would agree. Space isnt real. Nature abhors a vaccum and gas pressure requires containment. We also arent a spinning ball. There’s no curvature, measureable or observable.
I know this is a lot all at once but please just look into it, I promise you im not trolling. Ive been looking into this for 6 years now and i would bet my life that we dont live on a globe. You’ve just been told things, it’s not backed by practical science at all.
I (and basically everyone else) define a star as a nuclear-burning gas ball, Earth is quite obviously not burning gas otherwise I’d be on fire, so I don’t understand your claim here
Stars aren’t balls of gas in a vaccuum, that’s impossible
Why is that impossible? By the laws I already accept as true, like gravity and basic nuclear physics, a burning gas ball held together by its own mass and hence gravity is self-consistent at the very least
Everything revolves around us, mainstream science agrees
That’s not my understanding of mainstream science’s consensus, would you care to elaborate here?
Space isn’t real
Elaborate?
Nature abhors a vacuum
On earth yes because of our atmosphere that’s here because of gravity, without the atmosphere a vacuum is just as ‘default’ to nature as air is to us though. You’d need to preset some evidence here
Pressure requires containment
Absolutely: gravity
There’s no curvature
I disagree we can’t measure earth’s curvature, though this is of course a long running debate that’s frankly quite boring. I’m no expert on this one though
I’m not trolling
No I didn’t get that impression don’t worry, though that doesn’t mean I agree of course
You’ve been told things that aren’t backed my science
You haven’t yet presented a self-consistent framework to replace my mainstream science, nor have you on the framework-level disproved that of mainstream science. Maybe answering my questions here will help me understand your point of view, though I can’t deny I’m skeptical ahah. I’ve always found mainstream planetary science to be reliable, reasonable, and self-consistent. If you can disprove the self-consistence at the very least, you’ll be on the way to convincing me. My mind is open, I promise, but I respectfully very strongly disagree with what you’ve laid out to me so far
Ok let me start by saying I really appreciate your attitude towards this. Most people on reddit are quite hostile when people mention this sort of thing so it's a breath of fresh air.
Lets just tackle one thing at a time.
Curvature, - There is absolutely zero measurable curvature, there's also zero observable curvature from any height. Anything you see on a video or picutre is using a fish eye lens or the picture isn't real to begin with. Neil degrasse tyson admits on video that you won't ever see curve from any height even though people like to claim that you can.
The arguments for curvature are weak. They like to say ships dissapear bottom up but that's just an optical effect, it can be brought back into view with a zoom camera. It's how our eyes see, it's why train tracks look like they are meeting in the distance or street lights. It's due to perspective.
So if something doesn't curve, then it can't be a ball in the first place. Not only does the globe model claim curvature, but it also claims a specific radius value of 3959 miles. Something which we can test for as things as certain distances should be obstructed by physical line of sight due to the curvature of the earth. In reality we can see much further than a 3959 radius globe would allow us to. Theres countless observations you can find online about this and you can even do it yourself in real life. I have done it on clear days viewing bouys that should be behind 6 stories of curvature and they are plainly visible.
I won't move onto anything else as it's going to be too much to discuss at one time. What are your thoughts?
Well yeah, who the fuck has a well-paying they like?
If that's your choice, sure, take the job. But 83% of people are in a shit paying job they can take or leave.
Anyone with a well paying job they like probably doesn't need and isn't looking for any advice from some dweeb on reddit, so it doesn't matter if what I'm saying isn't applicable to them.
I can vouch for this. I was pretty much down to clown with all my coworkers that I didn't hate.
What fucked me up was when a legitimately hot person walked in the door. I was like, "Yo, wanna smash", forgetting that I was an overweight alcoholic neckbeard. That panned out poorly.
This, illogical but this. They also love to streal boyfriend and get a "W", but after they do they lose interest and they just start using you until they find someone to cheat on you with.
Most women struggle to judge men accurately, and the same goes the other way, so we rely on others to do it for us.
When we see someone in a relationship, we assume that person is suitable for a relationship. It happens subconsciously. Women lean on this more than men do because they prioritize stability, whereas men are drawn to physical appearance like a nice body and a cute face, which doesn't require outside validation to assess.
Usually i like people that are not in a relationship but when i later down the road find out they are in one i am not interested in them romantically anymore but stay friends with them
It's the forbidden fruit effect, basically something not being attractive if you can get it but if you suddenly aren't allowed to get it, it becomes attractive to get.
Or it becomes even simpler than this. The first woman that you asked out finally sees that you're occupied with someone else and you won't mistake her friendliness with attraction. Apparently she was still wrong about that.
As a man I've had to act cold to people that I've rejected because they perceive basic ass decency and friendliness as romantic interest, and at least the women often have the emotional capacity to understand what's going on.
The men though? Holy fucking shit, you almost need to beat them up with a brick that screams no just to get the message across. Or at least, more realistically, the kind of person that is not put off by brazenly asking coworkers out, probably also wouldn't end up respecting boundaries once established, but this doesn't surprise me.
Also I think there’s a switch that flips in women’s brains. For a majority, they spend their entire lives, from teenage years on, being chased. Even the uggos get pined after in the circles they run in. As soon as a woman finds out a man is in a committed relationship, she lets her guard down around him and it causes them to see us in a different light.
And thus they are able to see a side of a guy they wouldn’t otherwise take the time to see and develop an attraction too.
Interesting alternate theory to that the others here are proposing. She’s still not interested, but can now let her guard down because he found someone else.
the first woman sucks anyways, if her friends or family say one bad thing about you you're fucked and never climbing back out cause she doesn't think for herself. atleast you'll know when the other woman puts you to sleep forever it was all her decision

While we're all jumping on mate-selection bias, it's important to remember SAFETY selection bias. If a dude has a gf that he generally treats well, that hits the SAFETY thing. Any jackass hoe can get a dude. Jackass hoe might not be able to find a good dude.
You guys are missing one more perspective. She could have been distant from him when he was single so that she makes it clear she's not interested. Now that he's in a relationship, she doesn't have to keep doing that because he wouldn't take friendliness mistaken, or so she thought.
She thinks that now that he's taken he won't try to pursue her anymore, so it's now safe to be friendly to him. Before she had to make an effort to be aloof to discourage his interest

Anon is with another woman now. The first woman may not be as anxious that he's going to try to be weird with her now, so she can be more relaxed and actually be friends with him now.
Only thing you can do here is be as distant as possible. You don't want to be in any kind of relationship with the first girl. Just think of how she would be behind your back if you were in a relationship with her.
Women want what other people have, especially other women. They follow the crowd/trends and they look for peer approval for their actions. That includes for dating. They want a guy who is desirable to other women. Like the other comment said, you've been better by another woman
