Eliminate days of the week and use 168 hour time (similar to 24 hour time)

Sunday morning midnight is 00:00. Noon on Monday is 36:00. Friday starts at 120:00. Saturday ends at 167:59

Ugh gross. This would make the week feel so long!
PerdidoEnBuenosAires@reddit
Every week would feel like an episode of 24
Suspicious-Bowl4444@reddit
So fucking amazing then??

I could lowkey get behind this. Get rid of time zones while you’re at it
Appropriate_Tie534@reddit
Don't get rid of time zones. As someone who has family 6+ time zones away, I like being able to easily look up a time and know if it's considered morning yet or not. I don't know how I would figure that out if it was the same number on the clock for all of us.
FormalPack7187@reddit
Maybe ask them? Or look it up?

While we’re getting rid of things let’s get rid of chores and stuff

Oh, and those little things that stick to your pant legs when you walk through some brushes. I think people call them hitchhikers

Yes, everyone will run on the same clock. So what if the sun rises at different times in different parts of the world. Who decided that was a thing that needed to be fixed, anyway?
Blinky_@reddit
Around the water cooler would be like, “Hey Sharon. How was your 137:00 to 22:00? Get up to anything crazy?”
XROOR@reddit
I want Europe’s “Final Countdown” to play at 166 hours!
fieldsofanfieldroad@reddit
I like this.
Sunday midnight is a bad start point though.
LetTheDarkOut@reddit
Wednesday at noon then?
GroundbreakingRun186@reddit
Tuesday 3:47am

I’m open for discussion

Instead of waking up at 7 am on Thursday you get to wake up at 103 o'clock. Sounds like fun
jckipps@reddit
Or we could switch to 10,080-minute time, or 604,800-second time. Either everyone would get really good at mental math to set their schedule for the coming week, or they'd just give up entirely.
Ukuleleah@reddit
We need to agree whether week starts on Monday or Sunday first. But don't hate the idea
ingmar_@reddit
And how to number the weeks of the year. And also actually do it.
ingmar_@reddit
So we need a way to specify weeks, in the context of a year. Instead of “See you next Tuesday“ it would be “See you in W19 at 42:00 hours“. That's convenient …
catfluid713@reddit
I would rather explode.
shponglespore@reddit
Just use Unix time: the number of seconds the beginning of 1970.

I can low key get behind this
