I have an EARLY model. Love the thing. One of my first handguns. It hasn't had any of the "fixes" for drop safe, etc. Ride the lightning, I suppose.

I've watched the unintended discharge videos, followed the AF airman who blamed the gun, then unblamed the gun for his friend, seen the RSOn video and it all just sucks.

I've tried the YT "wiggle the slide" and make the sear release, move the trigger 1mm and shake, and it's not ever failed. It never gave me fits, but then I never CC with it.

In spite of the fact that it's one of my favorite handguns, I still can't bring myself to leave it loaded in my nightstand like I used to, at least until the current situation is resolved/understood.

I like everything I've used by Sig, and it sucks seeing what was a promising forearm get wrecked by the issues out there.

There have been at least a handful of cases where the pistols went off by themselves. If that was because of shoddy QC on a batch of them, or some manufacturing defect, Sig would've issued a recall and been done with it. The fact that they've spent millions trying to deny the issue is almost more concerning than the handful of cops who got a DIY vasectomy.

If it ever got down to 150-175 I probably would pick one up just to have another fun. Sure it has major issues but I also think it was probably a very small amount compared to how many tens of thousands of these they’ve produced. There’s a 99.9% chance you’ll get one that’s fine.

That being said, Is that a risk I’m willing to take pointed at my penis every day carrying? Absolutely not. But it’s something I’d grab just to have another pistol for the range and keep it unloaded, and it’s 99% likely you’ll never notice an issue.

Way I see it, the 320 raider is meant to be a bag gun, and if you’re deploying a PDW from a bag, you can carry on an empty chamber and sidestep the ND issue.

It’s probably the only valid reason to buy a P320 nowadays. LE trade in P320 for $220 like in this deal, plus a blem Raider for $377 on their website right now gives you a complete Raider for <$600, which is kinda insane imo.

Not just that. The maintenance on these are unknown. Parts can be easily assembled improperly or out of spec. Unless the person knows what to do to ensure everything is assembled and operating within spec, I wouldn’t trust them. New is the only way to go if someone is going to take the plunge.
