Both these cars were sold here originally im pretty sure, so yes the XUV was actually sold outside of the US!

Interesting choice of words.

What weird wheel enthusiasts?

Such a shame they don’t produce cars with that suspension anymore. Drove a C5 turbodiesel with it, could raise the clearance up to 25 cm!

I know right, they said its too expensive to produce. But maybe if Citroens comes with a full size luxury car then maaaaaybe they might bring it back. But i doubt it, they would probably rather use air suspension 😵💫

That Xantia was not weird here in the Netherlands, the are getting rare. Much are scrapped. What it makes weird is that bodykit. Front bumper and side skirt. Never seen that on a Xantia.
What engine you have?
AdeptDetail4311@reddit (OP)
It wasnt an uncommon car by all means, but the hydropneumatic Citroens are regarded as strange by most so i thought it fit well in here haha.
Indeed it has a bodykit, not a very usual sight and I didnt even know at first lol. Some previous owner must have put it on. I dont mind it though, I think it looks alright. I have a 1.8i (the reliable 1.8!) It has a 103 horsepower.
They used to be common here in Norway aswell, but thats like 15 years ago 😬 rust killed them all and will eventually take mine aswell i believe, though I will keep it alive as long as I can!

im pretty sure the XUV wasn't sold in europe

Yeah I wasnt quite sure about the XUV. I thought it maybe was because its been in my country for a while it seems. But it has the US spec blinkers, but its km/h on the speedometer. So its a bit confusing.

Canada used km
AdeptDetail4311@reddit (OP)
Yeah, its definitely Canadian, that does make sense.

Used to have a xantia for a while, back in the day. Such underrated cars, absolutely loved driving that thing.

Oh yeah, best car I have ever owned. Its a super comfy ride and old school. Wind up windows and all, love it.

That XUV is in better shape than most of them left in their home territory. By the way does the mechanism for the roof and window still work?
AdeptDetail4311@reddit (OP)
Yeah its in decent shape, mechanically atleast lol. Like the typical XUV it struggles a bit electronically.
The mechanism worked last year, but honestly I dont think it works now haha. Its mostly just a party trick so far but its a pretty good car otherwise! Nice V8 which is surprisingly economical and a good ride.
