Ep9 is absolutely amazing and worth much more than what they are asking for it it just runs super reliable and less recoil than a scorpion
Shotgoon@reddit
Deskpop runs a super safety on his. Can’t run one on an Extar.
angriest_man_alive@reddit
You sure? Im pretty sure Ive seen extars with them. Or do you mean specifically a super safety vs any other FRT?
Meinek13@reddit
Nope. Cannot run a super safety in an extar. Would take a lot of modification.
Quw10@reddit
Just a heads up you can't run a SS on all of them. I ordered mine from the same place and despite not saying it and showing a model with a standard safety mine came with a 45° degree safety that won't work with a SS. I had to use a Kabuto style FRT and modified the safety for it to work properly.
Meinek13@reddit
Where is the 45?!?!?!?!?!?
GunsAndPugs@reddit
How are these suppressed?
64stackdiamonds@reddit
I mean, it can't be THAT bad, right?
burtcoal@reddit
It's not terrible, mine has actually been very reliable 1000+ rounds in but it's by no means a great gun. It's accurate and seems to like all the ammo that's been through it.
The short barrel and micro handguard give very little room. The fact this is backed by the terrible people at GForce makes it not worth $400.
safety selector broke recently, the grip mag holder is more of a gimmick than anything because sometimes it works, sometimes the mag falls out for no reason, sometimes it doesn't want to let the mag go.
With the crappy cut buffer spring it comes with it sometimes shoots soft, sometimes it's super snappy, the tip of the buffer has bottomed out enough to become mushroom shaped.
Parabellum12@reddit
Idk sounds pretty terrible lol.
Run-Riot@reddit
Fuckin' gun is so bad it gave that dude Stockholm Syndrome, lmfao
ALNWV@reddit
By what completely fucked calculous is this considered not terrible?
burtcoal@reddit
Lolol, great question. The fact that it performs it's basic duty reliably (firing, cycling, feeding, accuracy) to me makes it not terrible, it's just not a gun worth the money. If it was $300 or less, or even from a company that would support their product after sale I would think more highly of it. Buffer spring is easy enough to replace, same with safety selector, etc.
Jawbone, meh
GForce blade, terrible
BCA bufferless 9mm, absolute nightmare
RedditDallas@reddit
Spend an extra $100 and just get a EP9
xiZm_@reddit
But it’s just…so ugly
cuttlefish_tastegood@reddit
Theres a dude that makes different hand guards for it. Looks a lot cleaner. u/-KN-Designs- is the one that makes them.
RedditDallas@reddit
It's not that bad, the new gen looks significantly better than the old gen
IIIpl4sm4III@reddit
I like my waffle cone
MarkieJay26@reddit
Link? I've been looking for one lol
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
They only sell on their website afaik, extarusa
MarkieJay26@reddit
Ah. Honestly did not know that lol thanks
suchdankverymemes@reddit
I love my EP9. It recoils more than a well tuned AR because it is still a blowback system, and it doesn't like to eat aluminum cased ammo. It's just a champ otherwise. Supposedly very gassy if you suppress it.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
No worries, nothing but good things to say about em. I can only imagine how well they’d sell from distributors or in box stores
ItsJustAnotherVoice@reddit
They won't, even states on the site that they do this so they can cut the middleman markups and keep it at the low price point.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
No for sure I get that, but it does limit their spread to basically word of mouth. The EP9 is miles ahead of nearly all the PCCs your average Joe will see on the Cabela’s shelves and for half the price but they’ll never know
ItsJustAnotherVoice@reddit
i'm fine with that, its already hard to keep in stock in their website and increasing production might be both a blessing and a curse but bang for buck its 100% there.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
Yeah for those who know it’s crazy value
razkalwp7@reddit
Check out the Extar website. If I remember correctly stock goes in and out but you can setup notifications. For $450-500 it can't be beat. It even takes glock mags

Spending more to get a a more plastic hi point of PCCs doesn't sound super fun
CamelAdventure@reddit
They are amazingly reliable, low maintenance, and accurate (within the 25 yds I've tested, anyway). For a very simple pdw it's honestly not bad, though I do worry a little about long term durability.
The next option I'd consider is stribog at roughly double the price
IllSkyHelix111@reddit
if they did away with the buffer tube i'd be super-sold but once you do that everything is $1k+ :,(
CamelAdventure@reddit
Not sure what you mean, you can get an ep9 with sba3 from the factory
IllSkyHelix111@reddit
i mean like a recoil system with no buffer tube needed, like a CMMG Dissent or Sig MCX. the recoil system is logically folded 180 degrees and lives above the BCG so you can have a folding brace and the gun is even more compact. the OS on both of those is different too, so i mean, i get why they are a lot more expensive than a direct blowback... i'm just sayin i'm looking for a more compact design
Crossblue@reddit
Dissent is fucking bae
CamelAdventure@reddit
Got it. Yeah there are definitely better options at higher price points, no argument there.
Jason1435@reddit
CZ scorpion gang rise up 😤
Diligent-Parfait-236@reddit
Gforce also does the blade for around the same price.
Jason1435@reddit
Kuna is about $900 and the CZ scorpion used to go for $750 when I bought mine a few years ago. Straight blowback sp9a1 stribog might discount at $700-$800, but yeah, there's not much good competition around $500. Generally though, I wouldn't be spending $500 if you want a platform worth your time.
RedditDallas@reddit
The hammer on my trigger group snapped around 1500 rounds but I think that issue is fixed in the new gen. Also why the hell was the hammer made of polymer. Seems like a poor design choice.
SpaceCampDropOut@reddit
I haven’t heard anything bad about them except it takes a long time to break in the charging handle. Super stiff and gritty at the beginning
Quw10@reddit
I had to take mine out and use sandpaper because it had a bunch of little rough spots that were causing friction, i also made a new charging handle because the other was too short and is at an angle that would have guaranteed I was gonna catch a knuckle on the top pic rail. I had to do that before even shooting it because I damn near couldn't get the charging handle back.
Verbotene55@reddit
There are a decent number of reports over on the AR9 reddit of the lowers cracking at the front takedown pin.
Quw10@reddit
Mine hasn't broken at the take down pin but the polymer where the ball detent for the safety sits broke when I was removing it.
CharmingPainMan@reddit
It's called a jawbone because it rattles your jawbone
yungminimoog@reddit
Does anyone make pccs in rifle length anymore lol?
scottawhit@reddit
Lots of options. Ruger pcc, Henry homesteader, s&w fpc, all 16” barrels, probably more not off the top of my head.
ek9cv5@reddit
The cheapest i seen these for was around $349 at sportsmanoutdoors
Cobra__Commander@reddit
Turkish shotgun companies unlocks blowback sub gun on the tech tree.
mehrjake13@reddit
as far as I know these are made in the US
rekalevans@reddit
Was able to put my hands on one of these. What a cheap feeling PCC.
enixthephoenix@reddit
Its a competition to see which worse thing called GForce can exist
This
Or that hamster movie
F1F2F3F4F5F6F7F8@reddit
GForce? More like Gee he's fat
killerz7770@reddit
Have fun replacing the cracking lowers on these. They supposedly explode after 500-1000 rounds so have fun with it while you can…
Quw10@reddit
Mine has given me issues and I'm right at 600, and 80% of that has been using an FRT, 10% suppressed, and another 10% shooting it suppressed with an FRT and it hasn't cracked. Only issue with the polymer was a small chunk broke off on the inside when I was taking the safety out.
SpaceCampDropOut@reddit
First I’ve heard of this happening. My range has one and it seems to be just fine.
Ernie_McCracken88@reddit
people moderately content with their purchases don't post on the internet. the Internet makes a lot more sense when you consider that average experiences are filtered out and what you hear about isn't a representative example.
gggg_4_l@reddit
Are there numbers on how many are bad? Because I have a homie with one and he's easily put more rounds through it than that without issues
RecoveringRocketeer@reddit
Buddy has one and it runs well. I think he had a couple failures last time but he isn’t sure if it was the ammo or the gun.
Trope360@reddit
Honestly, find a PCC that doesn't. I've got plenty of friends with Banshee's to Mean Arms / Mauls, they're finicky bitches. The right buffer and ammo setup is key, not saying this thing is great but I've got a few PCC's myself including EPC and Banshee's and a couple failures if it isn't wet with lube and tuned and right ammo is standard par for the course.
weatherbys@reddit
I’m about 95% sure these are made by FM Mikes. I had one of their FM9 models and it ran like a top both with and without a can. Nice little pistol for the money.
BrokenFixer256@reddit
It's kind of hard to mess up a direct blowback gun
obamasfursona@reddit (OP)
I believe in other threads they've confirmed they produce the white label upper for these
weatherbys@reddit
That makes sense! Looks like they probably slap the upper on their own polymer lower.
AnonThisData@reddit
Gib me in 10MM and 8 to 10 inch barrel
Supetition4rad@reddit
Not sure about this one, but Extar is still around for a bit more $
According_Loss_1768@reddit
These fit a mini Kabuto FRT Incase anyone's into that.
