Hi! Just got mine and finished taking it apart. Wanted to verify that these are Tungsten (they are) and Lanbo's isn't price gouging. 13K units in stock. Go nuts.
P.S. If anyone knows where to source the rubber stopper at the end, that'd be appreciated. I had to really deform the one that came on mine to get it off and I was hoping to keep it for back up purposes.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
In for 12,999. Thanks op
For real though, these prices don’t seem great and it’s only getting worse from here. I’m kinda tempted by the steel buffers at this point
Swigg22@reddit
I’m looking to upgrade to a H3 buffer on my mk18. What would this normally cost? Is this not a BIN for a H3?
Artistic-Breakfast26@reddit
at current tungsten prices, the tungsten weights themselves would cost close to $40, so $50 is a great price.
Swigg22@reddit
In for 1. Thank you!
muffinman1604@reddit
Tungsten is getting ridiculously expensive. Given current market, this is a good price.
RyAllDaddy69@reddit
Put sand in it
Recent-Honey5564@reddit
Steel H3 buffers work fine for the vast majority of SS builds. Sure the tungsten weights offer some nice dead blow but it is absolutely not a requirement to make most systems function reliably.
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
I don’t even have an SS/FRT. Yet at least lol. 11.5 pistol build for me, very harsh ejection with standard buffer so I’m pretty sure I need an H2/H3
nope_noway_@reddit
Can the tungsten weights be used in other buffers? Such as VLTOR A5
Vic_the_Dick@reddit
The rearmost weight in VLTOR A5 buffers is modified to accept VLTOR's biasing spring, but other than that, they're standard weights.
nope_noway_@reddit
This is what i was after thanks
Consistent_Kick7219@reddit (OP)
Yup.
I use BCM buffers and they're the same as VLTOR except the biasing spring BCM uses. This will just let me make them into 4s if needed.
nope_noway_@reddit
Is it all separate though? Meaning the spring is separated from the weights.
The weights are the same size and weight?
Pictures would probably be super helpful here
Consistent_Kick7219@reddit (OP)
BCM's patent as on Google Patent. Shows each component. https://patents.google.com/patent/US10415907B1/en
FreedomBall@reddit
Was just about to ask about this. I bought a couple of these from Lanbos recently and got spooked by the steel tube rumor.
Consistent_Kick7219@reddit (OP)
Steel tube? Like they took out all the Tungsten and replaced it with a singular steel tube weight? Or do you mean the actual body? Never heard of this.
FreedomBall@reddit
Some people were saying different metals were used for the weights and the difference to make up the total weight was made up by the buffer body itself. It's in the super safety sub.
Consistent_Kick7219@reddit (OP)
Oh, I've seen that then. Kaw Valley uses Copper internals for example. I just didn't know it meant they used a different body composition.
PutridDropBear@reddit
just google "ar buffer bumper" anyone charging more than $1/ea -- avoid. Don't forget the roll pins if you don't have them.
skinny808@reddit

Consistent_Kick7219@reddit (OP)
Of course KAK Industry has this stuff. I need a couple small parts anyway to resupply my field repair kit. Thanks!
raptor008v2@reddit
I'll also add I weighed mine and got 5.4oz. I know there have been reports of other brands not weighing in to spec.
Rioc45@reddit
Will this work in the BCM mk2 buffer system?
Consistent_Kick7219@reddit (OP)
No, wrong size. This is meant for Carbine users or you can take it apart (Like I did) and then put the Tungsten in the BCMs.
ultragtr@reddit
It’s crazy how fast prices went up. I bought some for under $40 each about a month ago.
Legitimate-Simple-98@reddit
If people keep buying at these prices then prices are here to stay.
Automatic_Market7422@reddit
This is great.
But l like THIS
Bubbacubba@reddit
I've gotten all of my H3s from below, its half the price:
https://greymarketresearch.net/5-4oz-ar15-carbine-length-buffer/
Fuck-Mountain@reddit
+1 for GMR, works well on my FRT build
RegardedDipshit@reddit
Can anyone that knows a lot about buffers tell me if there's any cons or red flags you see on this? Mentions weights are loose to stop bolt bounce which is the main thing I've looked for. Seems legit?
spank_the_tank@reddit
The one from GMR does not have tungsten weights inside. The non-tungsten alternatives do not work in some builds, according to users on the super safety subreddit. So YMMV.
redsox985@reddit
Sounds like it's a steel body with ?other material? weights. But sliding mass is really what gives the dead blow effect and conventional tungsten in an aluminum tube is flipping the scales the other direction.
iFightForOurRights@reddit
Confirmed - the 3 internal weights are steel (0.6oz each).
Bubbacubba@reddit
I mean I wouldn't do a chargeback on him since he posts your address on his website. I bought my H3 from him. A lot of guys from GAFS do too.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
I get it but I would also question the legality of that... Seems like these guys are opening themselves up to a bad time if they dox someone with a legit chargeback
Bubbacubba@reddit
They send ruby ridge and killdozer stickers with every order I don't think they give a shit.
spank_the_tank@reddit
For the record, these are not the same. Lanbo’s uses tungsten weights. That one from GMR does not.
jevan_chinks@reddit
Ever have any issues with verifying billing address? It isn't working for me no matter what I try.
Bubbacubba@reddit
I can't remember it's been a few weeks.
jevan_chinks@reddit
you deserve great things in life my friend. just ordered.
SerOstrich@reddit
For anyone who hasn't heard of them, lanbo's almost always has the best prices on things - they're my go to for buying gun related stuff.
charsons@reddit
They’re not spending their money on web development that’s for sure lol
Legitimate-Simple-98@reddit
Ordered, thanks!! I have been putting it off and sadly watched this exact buffer go from $43 (on sale at PSA not even a month ago) all the way up to upper $60's.
