Evri drivers is it worth giving you reviews?

We currently have a great evri driver and I will occasionally give him a good review but is it worth it? Do you get anything out of it? Or is a waste of time.
Samjm850@reddit
They get bonus payments for maintaining a rating above a certain level iirc (I only tried it for 2 weeks so can’t remember the specifics of how much or what rating they needed).
Active_Doubt_2393@reddit
Our local evri driver is excellent too, I wouldn't know where or how to give them a review.
PotatoOld9579@reddit (OP)
They send you emails asking to review the driver. Might be going in your spam folder if you’ve not had one.
No_Doubt_About_That@reddit
In the app Evri also does the compliment feature no?
Quicker than leaving a separate review + still a means for feedback, whichever way the driver ends up receiving it.
Active_Doubt_2393@reddit
Oh, right yeah, they get deleted instantly 😂
PotatoOld9579@reddit (OP)
don’t blame ya 🤣
JamJarre@reddit
Whether they get anything out of it or not, it's not a waste of time to do something nice for someone
ProsodySpeaks@reddit
This is so dumb.
The question is literally 'does this have a nice impact on the driver' and you respond with 'it's always good to be nice'
It's like someone asks 'is this food' and you replied 'food is good'
JamJarre@reddit
Actually the question was whether positive feedback provided any material bonus, commendation etc whereas my point was that it's worthwhile to provide positive feedback even if there isn't a formal mechanism that rewards them.
I don't think that it was a very complicated point. Are you OK dude?
fistmcbeefpunch@reddit
A positive review can have a positive impact though, could just improve someone's days
ProsodySpeaks@reddit
Ffs. How are people so completely unable to parse basic logic?
The whole point of this post was to ask delivery drivers if it actually makes any difference rather than just speculating and guessing.
PotatoOld9579@reddit (OP)
That is very true :)
Key_Produce2617@reddit
But we want to know if there’s a point. If there’s no point then it’s wasting precious seconds of my time.
VolcanicBear@reddit
I generally rate any decent delivery driver well.
Takes me zero effort, and if there's a chance it makes their job slightly more satisfying or whatever then I'm all for it.
glasgowgeg@reddit
"driver abandoned parcel in plain sight and lied about handing to resident"
I'm sure that'll make their job more satisfying.
VolcanicBear@reddit
I wouldn't who abandons the parcel wherever and lies about it to be a decent one, but hey, each to their own dude!
glasgowgeg@reddit
I don't think a decent evri employee exists then, or if they do I've never experienced one.
catmadwoman@reddit
My ones fine. Sometimes it's not the driver it's the way they handle delivery to the driver. Also where I live they are dropped off at a central point for sorting - this is a lorry lay by - hundred of bin bags laid out with various drivers with their cars, I can see how things get mixed up.
glasgowgeg@reddit
The driver is the only one I experience the work of. If they're abandoning parcels on doorsteps and lying about handing to the resident that's exclusively their fault.
PotatoOld9579@reddit (OP)
That’s why I do them when I remember too :) I just wanted to see if they actually get some sort of bonus or something from it.
Inside-Judgment6233@reddit
I do as well. Well, I would do if I ever met one
EUskeptik@reddit
My Evri driver was a pain in the proverbial and we had quite a few cross words. He was about as grumpy as it gets. It was MyHermes in those days.
Things improved when I asked him politely to leave parcels in a certain place. He responded well. He’s still very grumpy but after several years we get on very well indeed.
I started leaving him positive reviews because I felt he deserved them. He had made a lot of effort to improve and I felt that needed to be recognised.
He never said anything - he is Mr Lugubrious - but one day I said to him “I left you a positive review.” For what seemed like a split second he smiled broadly and said “I know, thank you.”
He’s still grumpy but I cannot fault the service he provides so I keep leaving positive reviews.
I’m very lucky with Royal Mail too. We have two regular posties who are fantastic, and the guys delivering parcels from vans are very friendly too.

I don't know about Evri in specific but I have worked with jobs before where I was measured on NPS (net promoter score). The question to the customer was always "would you recommend company name?" and was scored out of 10. Only 9 or 10 are "happy" and the question is not obviously about you.
So often I would get "cenjui was great but the call centre screwed up my bill, 8" and that counted as an unhappy customer against me. A few bad months and no bonus for me.
People are way more like likely to complete surveys if they are unhappy.
Because of this I always complete surveys and give a 10. I like to think occasionally I make the difference for someone and get them out of a performance improvement plan that they don't deserve or help get their bonus.
Fuck nps, and stupid surveys that are not based on people directly.
No-Blackberry-3945@reddit
NPS is one of the worst customer service reporting systems I've ever had to work under.
The theory is sound, IF customers know which questions matter to the employees bonus and review and how the scoring works. The number of times I'd done an exceptional job and was let down by admin, delivery or implementation teams so it effected my bonus is ridiculous.
I've often filled in an NPS survey as all 9s and 10s only to leave a scathing commentary about part of the service failure and highlighted that the scores are high so that certain individuals aren't affected.

Delivery drives get so much stick, they could deliver 1000 packages correctly but it will be the one that didn’t where they shout it from the rooftops. ALWAYS praise delivery drivers when they do a good job, it’s one of those jobs where they get abuse constantly
TurbulentHamster3418@reddit
I hope so, I’ll try to remember to ask mine! I always leave her a good review because she does do a great job so it would be nice if they did get some kind of bonus.
RagerRambo@reddit
Like your employers review system, it's pointless when it's hard to remain anonymous as situations are so specific, they'll know it's you if you make a complaint. Then also you have no other driver and they'll do something even worse. I don't bother giving feedback for thrm, good or bad.
Pale-Tutor-3200@reddit
Hermes (take Evri bought out) used to give small bonuses out for all deliveries, all on time and no negative reviews over the month
CyGuy6587@reddit
Hermes rebranded to Evri
weewillywinkee@reddit
Because they had such a bad reputation. Same shit, different name.
I've got to come clean, I've actually never had a bad experience with Hermes or Evri, sure it takes longer but they say that it will and it's much cheaper than others a lot of the time.
Big up yourself Lewis by the way, always give you 5 stars!
oldskoollondon@reddit
My local is great, friendly, never let me down apart from if I'm out, it never, ever gets left in my safe space.
Does Evri even tell the drivers where to leave things? It's not a big ask - back door, not front (it's a busy residential area - please don't leave it in view)
GuybrushFunkwood@reddit
They don’t even read the addresses on the parcels they yeet over a random hedge what on earth makes you think they’ll read reviews?!
PotatoOld9579@reddit (OP)
I wasn’t really thinking of them reading the reviews more of if they get a bonus of some sort if they get certain amount of reviews
