Uh... depends on why you'd want a monolithic upper? They're usually much more expensive because they're more difficult to machine. The reasons someone would want a Dissent aren't really the same as the reasons someone might go with a monolithic upper. The Dissent upper isn't monolithic - the main advantage of the Dissent is it's a bufferless system. So good with a folding stock on shorter barrel systems for a backpack gun or for pairing with a bullpup kit like the A3 Triad, SRU Sarb, or Reap Scy.
