I’ve recently been looking into getting a bike for commutes but also trail riding. This bike popped up on FB marketplace for $1000 USD. What’s the consensus on this brand? And does anyone have experience with this bike in particular? Thanks!

For just $500 more you could get an Aventon Ramblas ADV, or for the same price a mid drive hardtail from a reputable brand. I would pass on this, it looks like it's something capable, but the components are all pretty low end.

That thing will fall apart on you. Not while riding, if you're lucky. You can do much better at that qk price point. 🤠

If you're paying 2.3k for an ebike with dual suspension but a decent mid drive Bosch bike that's a couple of years old

If I was budget shopping eMTB right now, the [Ozark Trail M.2 Ridge+](https://www.walmart.com/ip/E-BIKE/17329407156) (which is out of stock, but comes in and out so sign up for notifications) is probably the lead contender in a very, very narrow <$2000 new mid-drive eMTB category. Hard-tail but the specs on everything are half-decent and upgradeable. Rare to see mid-drive on a $1298 bike period.
