blast baffles, 1000 rounds of pmc bronze semi auto firing .223, 10.5" buy at your own risk
https://imgur.com/a/OroFFe0
Steamships@reddit
What is that? Carbon buildup? Chipping?
wouldyounotlikesome@reddit
erosion
Steamships@reddit
That's crazy. Titanium should have superb erosion resistance.
cosmos7@reddit
You mean inconel.
Steamships@reddit
Both should
cosmos7@reddit
I mean it's kind of known at this point that you buy Ti for weight and inconel for durability... that's why some manufacturers have both for the same model.
wouldyounotlikesome@reddit
they said it was "full auto rated" for any barrel length. I believed them lol
DeadbeatPillow1@reddit
That’s terrible.
wouldyounotlikesome@reddit
can sounds so good though, its a shame
nopenope12345678910@reddit
You attempted to warrantee that?
wouldyounotlikesome@reddit
this is the warranty replacement can from the last time, going in for round 2 soon
lostPackets35@reddit
Is this actually a deal? I had been holding out for a 762 TI on FDE, But I'd consider this
Familiar-Range7615@reddit
I feel like these are becoming the new RC2. There are a lot more options now unless you are doing clone
former_cool_guy@reddit
None of the Flow cans will ever be the new RC2. That will be the RC4. Popularity is the only metric it may meet, but never durability when comparing inconel vs titanium or stainless designs.
Jason1435@reddit
99.9% of people aren't hitting the shot requirements to actually need inconel and the excessive weight that comes with it. Steel and titanium are fine.
former_cool_guy@reddit
Source: pulled straight from sphincter.
Steel and titanium are fine. That’s why they sell them and many people, myself included, use them. They aren’t a replacement for inconel cans, especially for people running FRTs or running matches with longer courses of fire. And also not for most professional use cases. And they never will be a replacement for inconel. Full stop.
Jason1435@reddit
That's crazy! Cause last I read, huxwrx flow 556k was the FBI selected suppressor. Apparently that's not professional use case though 🤔
former_cool_guy@reddit
The word “most” had you really confused, huh? Let’s do a quick run up of the number of professional users running the original RCs - we won’t even account for any of the other stainless and inconel cans in use. Should we take bets on whether the OG RC has more end users decades later than any ti or 17-4 cans combined?
Familiar-Range7615@reddit
I meant the part about becoming obsolete and overpriced after being popular when it first came out.
former_cool_guy@reddit
The Hux flow-through design and concept has already been out on the market for 17 years. The RC2 isn’t obsolete still and the Hux designs have already been wildly successful for a long period of time. There’s other competitors using more durable materials, but obsolete would be a stretch.
Jason1435@reddit
I mean, you can match or exceed its performance with often lighter and cheaper cans. That's the definition of obsolete. Just cause it works doesn't mean there isn't something better performing.
Distinct_Age4791@reddit
Since you guys are here can you all give me your top 5 556 suppressors ? I'm new and I personally am changing good noise reduction and low weight.
ThermosphericRah@reddit
Tisha. Thats it Thats the list
prudiisten@reddit
Its good but its not the be all end all of 5.56 that some make it out to be. Its the latest to top pewscience charts and therefore get a lot of attention on reddit. However with how the industry's been I fully expect another silencer to beat it within 6 months.
ThermosphericRah@reddit
Great ill buy that one too
former_cool_guy@reddit
This is the best place to start. Sort by Mk18 for the toughest sound suppression comparisons on the AR platform. Since we’re talking about it, the Flow 556Ti is going to be very competitive in the sound and weight departments, but I personally prioritize noise much lower than back pressure, flash, and weight now. Otherwise I don’t often give recs like that. I have several Surefire, Hux, a couple Thunder Beasts, and a CAT now for rifles. All have been good to me, but there’s so many options.
https://pewscience.com/rankings
Jason1435@reddit
Just cause other people have "flow through" doesn't put them anywhere on par with huxwrx degree of back pressure reduction. There's no other options if you want maximum reduced back pressure. Unlike the RC2 which is just aesthetic and not performance, huxwrx performs.
lostPackets35@reddit
so what's the better value low flow can right now?
YoAdminYouGayorSum@reddit
Ocl 762 infinity was the same price a few days ago. Better value because it outperforms hux and is more modular. Honestly though any flow can that doesn’t lock you to huxs taper mount
Miserable-Car-4354@reddit
It's way heavy and does not out perform the hux
YoAdminYouGayorSum@reddit
It does in the metrics that matter to me. Just depends on your priorities
Miserable-Car-4354@reddit
Performs poorly with vented cap on 556, compared to the hux
itsp0nzu@reddit
This or hold out for Polonium K?
No_Leg6630@reddit
2 totally different cans
toocacked@reddit
Where would you direct someone to learn about what kind of can they’d want? Don’t own any and looking to learn
AnnualRaise@reddit
Here is a rough overview by Dirty Civilian. Once you understand the different considerations, you can explore specific cans recommended to you and compare how they stack up to one another in each category. Every can has tradeoffs, there is no truly perfect "do it all." Decide what's most important to you and pick something. You can't go too wrong. This is a product category very prone to inducing analysis paralysis while shopping, especially if you're the type to research the hell out of purchases like I am.
toocacked@reddit
thank you, your reassurance definitely helps. I do tend to research alot, so ill take you at your word that once I get a general understanding and some insight ill make a good decision!
Hoplophilia@reddit
I would add that r/NFA is super helpful with crowd-sourced opinions once you've narrowed it down to the usual suspects of a given class. And with helping you nail down your use case in the first place. But like any sub, use the search function first or you'll get dragged.
No_Leg6630@reddit
Sadly, YouTube. But not from any of the shill accounts. Are you chasing the best do it all with no budget? Budget friendly? Caliber specific? Mounting capabilities? Warranty? You want low back pressure? A few things to take into account.
I’ll probably catch flack for saying this…but, don’t go by pew science data.
ctrannn@reddit
I have both and the polonium doesn’t touch the HUX flow through. It depends on the shooting and training you do. If you’re practicing bc more rapid fire shots the gas makes a big difference. But it has its place for sure it’s a great can for the price.
guacamoleburger@reddit
Two polo k for the price of one of these. ~Full auto~ super safely mag dump to your hearts content with another on standby.
On a more serious note, like the other guy said, you’re comparing two different styles of cans. That being said, if you tune your hosts with traditional cans and the benefits of flow through become less apparent.
EnvironmentalClue362@reddit
Hold out for the infinity 556k.
With that said, I love my polonium k. You can’t go wrong with either though. I have 2 polo k’s and the original infinity. When the infinity 556k drops, I’m full sending lol.
CombatWizard21@reddit
Hold out for the infinity 556k.

Was waiting for a sale like this all year and gave up and just bought one for full price last week at scheels.. god damnit
LightningPete15@reddit
Cost average down!
Vellusk@reddit
i wouldn't feel too bad, the thing i learned is that online sales for supressors need to be -really- good for it to be a good deal because transfer fees and paperfees eat up the sale to the point where it would be the same if you just went to a local store and bought msrp
reaganz921@reddit
Thank you for bolstering my cope. I am telling myself there was no way I'd have this in my hands in a reasonable time anyways doing the whole form 4 process through mail. I already have rounds down range through the can and can enjoy spring/summer shooting more now
laterisingphxnict@reddit
Cancel!
reaganz921@reddit
Brother, the can is on my gun with 100 rounds through it already. Bought it in person and was approved in 48 hours last Friday. I already tried to see if they would honor a price match but it isn't a verified competitor of scheels. Coulda been an extra 1k rounds :( Oh well. It's a fantastic can and I'm glad to have it. I could have been patient if I really needed a deal
eggcheeseburger@reddit
This is a solid deal!
norcal313@reddit
Thegunshopusa has them for $889 no sales tax outside AL.
grimy_ranarr_99@reddit
damn that place has good prices. Good shout out.
norcal313@reddit
Limited quantity, though.
PoetOne1776@reddit
45M?
Maxasaurus@reddit
Rooftop has/had this for $499 last week, with pistol booster.
So I can spend almost $400 on a muzzle device and be the same price as this?
BrewBaker_@reddit
WHAT?! Where did I miss that sale?
DeezNutzTactical@reddit
It was the 9k, because I got one
cwaters425@reddit
im almost positive the 499 deal he is talign about was for the flow 9k...
Legitimate_Box_7803@reddit
It was, my wallet is still mad
BrewBaker_@reddit
Was going to say Sol better not be going out of business
almightybytes@reddit
Rooftop had the Flow 9k TI for $499, not the 556 TI
cwaters425@reddit
can you link that deal? i Highly doubt they had a hux flow 556 ti for $499
