Upgrading my gifted pc

My buddy gifted me his old pc earlier this year to get me into pc gaming since i've been on Xbox my whole life. I very much enjoy pc gaming and it has been way better then Xbox and I am now looking into future upgrades. The current specs are.
Ryzen 5 3600
RTX 3060
16 gb ram
500gb ssd
600 wat power supply
I am looking for a nice performance boost to play death stranding 2 and other new games coming out this year.
I have been looking at the 9070 xt but would have to upgrade the cpu and power supply.
Can I upgrade this and see noticeable performance boost? Or should i go a completely different route?

I would say you can still game with the 3060 12gb, probably get a second hand CPU Ryzen 5 5600X.
Are you looking to get a better GPU rn or do you just want to improve what you have rn?

Tbh you're probably gonna need to upgrade everything for any AAA game. You'll need a better GPU, CPU, maybe PSU, and probably add at least 8GB of ram if you want more than 60fps, otherwise your current build could probably run it at ~30fps 1440p just based on the steam page. You could try it at 1080p and maybe get 40-50fps too. Death stranding 2 isn't too intensive because it still needed to be ran on console at 60fps, but it's no slouch either. With the right settings you could probably get it to 60fps.

I have heard people say on Reddit that the 9070xt is good for lower end cpus. My brother has one and really likes it. Also I saw a news article recently that said amd is going to start making the 5800x3d again. So if that happens you could then add that if needed. Hardware Canucks has a pretty good video on cpu scaling do the 9070xt. It has been a bit since I watched it but do remember it was helpful to my brother who has a 5600x. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TXKyQYiLro8&t=302s Thanks

Are you going to be upping the resolution of your monitor as well? I think that should be answered first. The 9070 XT is a beefy 1440p/4K card compared to the 3060 12GB so you'll definitely see gains, but you'll probably need to accommodate that upgrade with a CPU upgrade as well, as you noted in the post, and it may not even be necessary if you're sticking with 1080p.
