Which monitor with a RTX 5070 Ti and 7800x3d?

Hello, unfortunately my previous monitor's screen was slightly broken while moving countries so I was thinking of replacing it during summer. My desk isn't too big so I'd say 27 inches is ideal. I dunno if 4K or 2K would be better with my GPU. Don't want to spend more than 400€ so I guess that rules out OLED

I got a lg ultragear 27’ oled 240hz .03ms but with a 9070 xt

If 27" is mandatory I'd go with a high refresh 1440p IPS.
Msi MAG 275QF, LG Ultragear G6, Lenovo Legion R27QE (gen1, gen2), Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQL5A, AOC Q27G4

I found an ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQML5A (27", 2K, 300hz) at "only" 226 CHF. dunno if the refresh rate is overkill
Nicocephalosaurus@reddit
Not overkill at all. Especially if you play FPS games.

Looks like an ok deal to me

And what do you think of the AOC Q27G41ZDF (280 CHF, 26.50", 2K, OLED)
Correx96@reddit
Well it's an Oled so the colors will be much better. If you're just gaming I guess go for it. If you're using it for productivity as well (work, programming...) then I'd go with the IPS.

Have you considered 3440x1440?
I'm running similar specs at yours at 1440p UW and it's amazing.

I've recently gotten the Samsung Odyssey G5 OLED 27' (G50SF) with an RTX 5070 and an 9800X3D.
The monitor is an absolute game changer! OLED is truly insanely beautiful.
This monitor also supports HDR, so once you tune that in - its pretty incredible.

There’s those AOC qdoleds for 300 -400 or so, 1440p and up to 240hz

What do you think of a AOC Q27G41ZDF? 240Hz OLED 26.5"? It's around 100 CHF more expensive than the other 160-180HZ IPS options (ASUS TUF, Samsung g5 Odyssey)

i cant speak for it yet but i just got a refurbished one for 240 usd so ill give my rec when it comes in

With a 5070 Ti + 7800X3D, I’d honestly go 27” 1440p 165Hz+ over 4K at your budget.
At 27 inches, 1440p already looks sharp, and you’ll get much better frame rates + high refresh gaming. 4K under €400 usually means compromises.
Good targets would be:
That setup would pair really nicely with your PC.

What do you think of a AOC Q27G41ZDF? 240Hz OLED 26.5"
EliteRigWorks@reddit
If that’s the 26.5” 240Hz OLED model, then honestly that’s a huge step up from standard IPS options.
Pros:
• OLED = amazing contrast / blacks / motion clarity
• 240Hz = excellent for competitive games
• Great match for a 5070 Ti at 1440p
Only things to consider:
• Usually pricier
• Burn-in risk is much lower now, but still worth basic care
• 26.5” is slightly smaller than a typical 27”
If it fits your budget, I’d take that over most IPS 1440p monitors.

Thanks a lot. For 1440p IPS I've also looked at the MSI MAG 274QFDE X24 with 240HZ for 220 francs.

I've got a 5070 TI and used to run on a 4K 60Hz monitor. I loved the graphics and details and thought I preferred that over a high refresh rate.
But recently I moved to a 1440p 240Hz monitor and the smoothness of it all looks amazing. And I honestly can't see the difference in resolution, it looks just as detailed but so much smoother.

What monitor do you use? What do you think of an OLED AOC Q27G41ZDF? 240Hz OLED 26.5"?

I have this one: ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMGR

I suspect you will also be happy with the AOC you suggest.
Skor_Lodygin@reddit (OP)
I looked at it, it is 80 francs more than the AOC but it's cheaper than the MSI MAG. Do you have any problems with viewing text? Did you have to calibrate it much?
jol72@reddit
I find the HDR annoying. It's like it will try to adjust brightness in the middle of reading a text which isn't ideal. But you can control that yourself if you don't want it. And it constantly bugs me to "clean pixels", but again that can be adjusted or turned off.
In general while you can definitely read text just fine you should consider OLED for the visuals and gaming and perhaps a high-quality IPS if you use it for work and read a lot of text.
That's what I do now - I use the 4K IPS for work and the OLED for gaming.

What kind of games do you play? Enjoying open worlds or face paced shooters?
Skor_Lodygin@reddit (OP)
Right now I'm playing KCD, I'm also looking forward to replaying E33, maybe RDR in the future. The occasional CS too but I'm a scrub
Dahkril@reddit
So with rpgs more important then shooters I'd recommend a fast VA panel. Look for good contrast, rgb% and brightness. In your budget and with your system you could go ultrawide qhd, 180hz, 0,5ms refresh

I learned that 1440p OLEDs have problems displaying text due to subpixel layout. You can pick up 180 to 240 Hz IPS 27" screens for really cheap these days. I got a really cheap 180 Hz one (£110) and have been very happy with it. Almost no backlight bleed. Better than the three other much more expensive 144 to 165 Hz IPS screens I tried before that (2016 to 2024). I think all of these 180 Hz ones are the same panels for different brands and also have MPRT black frame insertion, which definitely helps motion clarity. I max out my FPS using losslessscaling adaptive framegen.

2k is better suited for a 5070ti.
