Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
I think that building your entire national identity on fanatical hatred and victim mentality is exhausting. You look at baltic subreddit and there are more posts about Russia than any baltic country.
ssandox@reddit
don't you think theres more to a national identity than reddit posts?
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
Its just an example. Obsession with Russia is visible outside of reddit too.
ssandox@reddit
Which is normal considering history, the current russian government and the fact that the baltics are surrounded by russia
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
No its not, that is typical nationalist, revisionist intepretation outlook on history. Current Baltic governments are shit too. And you seem not to understand what word surrounded means. Russia is more surrounded by NATO than baltic countries are by Russia.
Archaeopteryx111@reddit
Umm, hate to break it to you, but probably most nations have built their national identity around hatred and a victimhood mentality.
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
I dont think so. Break it to me more.
They are small nations indeed...Fear of being absorbed into Russia is artoficially increased by their nationalist politicians. Even the word "again" kinds shows the problem, when they reduce Soviet experience to just being absorbed into Russia. Ignoring the role of communist ideology which was supported by many of balts themselfs.
ElPescadorVeins@reddit
What a dumb thing to say lol. They were occupied and annexed in Soviet times. It was a traumatic experience. No Putin is threatening to do it again and they fear for their national sovereignty.
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
What a dumb thing to say lol. They were occupied and annexed by Soviet Union and with participation of baltic communists. They had a full blown civil war 20 years before that.
Putin is thereatening to do what again? Establish union of socialist republics???
James420May@reddit
Putin wants to restore the russian empire.
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
Maybe, but a) that is opposite of restoring Soviet Union, b) his desire to "restore russian empire" is questionable. He is proponent of russian imperialism, but but more modern day imperialism. Actual territorial expansion is seems to be rare part in that regard.
SpiritAnimal69@reddit
You really mean that? With whats going on in Ukraine and what happened in Georgia?
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
Lol, so let me get this straight. After 26 years of Putin rule his project to restore Russian Empire is: One brief minor war with Georgia in which he created one puppet state and took territory with few tens of thousands people. And one massive war which is clearly and outlier and in which he pretty much only territories with large Russian ethnic presence and not even all of those?
Do you really mean that?
SpiritAnimal69@reddit
You're missing the forest for the trees. You don't build an empire overnight. Putin spent his first decade just stopping the federation from snapping apart in Chechnya and the Caucasus. Once the house was in order, he pivoted to securing "veto power" over his neighbors in Georgia, then escalated to the Crimea land grab when he saw he could get away with it. The 2022 invasion wasn't an "outlier," it was the attempted finishing move to swallow Ukraine whole that only scaled back to the Donbas because he hit a brick wall. It’s not a lack of ambition - it’s a 26-year progression of moving the goalposts as far as his military can actually reach.
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
Lmao, keeping his country together is not part of empire building.
Yeah you are just making things up in your head. Georgian conflict between Abkhazs and Georgians which Russia used for minor territorial expansions has nothing to do with annexation of Crimea. And annexation of Crimea would never happened without Euromaidan. None of these thins were some grand plans, more like Russia using internal conflicts of tis two neighbours.
ElPescadorVeins@reddit
Stop acting stupid. Collect your 100 rubles and go spam another comment section with your tankie shit
Markomannia@reddit
Is "occupied and annexed" how we now say "defeated nazi"?
ElPescadorVeins@reddit
No occupied and annexed is how we say occupied and annexed. First the Baltics were occupied by the Germans, after the war by the Russians. I suggest you visit the Museum of Occupation in Riga to learn more about the Baltics' history instead of spreading the Kreml's propaganda
Markomannia@reddit
I visited Riga and walked next that shameful museum. I am not going to buy propaganda of undercovered nazis.
Ashamed-Smell7053@reddit
Of course a Serb said that.
ElPescadorVeins@reddit
Wow. Just, wow. You need serious help.

Vaisiamarrr@reddit
I bet you come from a country that never had r*ssia as neighbours
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
Im from fucking Balkan, lol. We had a full blown genocide like 30 years ago, and yet Im normal when it comes to neighbouring countries and Im able to write their name properly. Sorry for not crying over russian langauge in schools, lol.
Vaisiamarrr@reddit
Are you trying to compete here for victim olympics, how is your genocide( that your people did) relevant to this discussion? Russia has always been an existential threat to its neighbours, this has been proved multiple times throughout history and as we speak, keep licking their asses, it will definitely get you somewhere
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
No, it would not be a competition. No baltic person under age of 40 ever had anything done to them by Russians, so they are not qualified to enter any such competitions. Its just hatred as a base for national identity.
Now that I talk to you...Romanians are kinda similar. Fanatical obsession with Russians to the point where not hating Russian is equal to "licking their asses".
History is not there to prove your nationalist narratives.
Vaisiamarrr@reddit
I don’t need to resort to history to despise russian imperialism, we are contemporary to it
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
Thats ok. As long as you apply same hatred to every imperialism.
Baltic pathological hatred to Russian people, culture and language is not hatred for imperialism tho.
Vaisiamarrr@reddit
They have implanted russophones in the baltic countries, this is their modus operandi, they did the same in Moldova and Ukraine. They constructed the borders in such a way as to still have influence over it after the inevitable collapse of their empire. Should we forget what they did in Georgia? How they interfere with european elections and sabotage security systems of NATO members? I’m not claiming russian people are inherently evil but Russia as a political entity needs to be stopped one way or another for the good of Europe and dare I say for the good of the russian people
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
They did not "implanted" people in baltic countries, people moved there because job opportunities. Ukraine always had russophones and so did part of what is today Moldova. Which borders were constructed in the way you are describing? Also Soviet Union was nobodys empire except for communist pary which does not exist anymore and cant benefit from no border constructions.
Forget? No, but also lets not pretend like it was black and white situation. Georgian government was also acting aggressively. USA and EU dont interfere with elections in former USSR? They are not sabotaging security systems of Russia and its allies?
What does that mean to be stopped as political entity? And stopped by whom?
Vaisiamarrr@reddit
They literally deported tens of thousands of balts to Siberia clearing the space for russian/slavic workers to take their place. It wasn’t a free market to move just for “job opportunities” you needed a permission from Moscow. Latvia went from 75.5% latvians in 1935 to 52% in 1989, same shit in Estonia 88% estonians compared to 61.5% in 1989 you can’t convince me these are organic demographic shifts. Please do not talk about Moldova if you don’t know shit about it, they annexed Bessarabia first time in 1812 from the principality of Moldova in 1810 the population was 95% romanian, needless to say even after Bessarabia managed to unite with Romania the soviets created the Moldavian ASSR(where the majority was comprised of russophones and not “moldovans” in Transnistria in order to prepare the claim on Romanian Bessarabia in 1940 togheter with Northern Bukovina which was then glued to Ukraine, just like southern bessarabia but united the remaining region with the moldavian assr creating the borders of what is now the Republic of Moldova. In 1992 they intervened in Moldova and aided their “russki mir” assets, even today there are russian “peacekeepers” in Transnistria. In Georgia they set up Abkhazia and South Ossetia as autonomous zones inside the Georgian SSR. Surprise surprise, when Georgia tried to break free those regions split off with full Russian backing. This was deliberate divide and control strategy so that after the empire collapsed Russia would still have levers, russian compatriots to “liberate” and other excuses to meddle in the affairs of independent sovereign countries that clearly don’t want anything to do with Russia. Also don’t give me that bullshit that “the Soviet Union wasn’t Russia” . Power was in Moscow, russian was the prestige language and Russia loves to flop around their soviet past through Victory Day celebrations and displaying hammer and sickle banners on the front in Ukraine. I suspect you are a Serb, if that is the case I can give you the benefit of the doubt because you were fucked over by the West but I guarantee you Russia does not have the power to aid you in your conflicts.
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit

God forbid the baltics who suffered tremendously under russian&soviet rule, have resentment and hate towards it
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
They were part of the Soviet rule tho. And they did not suffer "tremendously" compared to fascist terror that Baltic nationalists support it.
KPlusGauda@reddit
You are absolutely wrong; they have plenty of history and national identity (considering how small they are). It's also true that Russia was absolutely a horrible neighbour for the last 100 years, and it still represents a huge threat. Finally, so many Russians live in these three countries, and many don't even know the language.
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
Like what? All I hear is "Russia, Russia".
Baltic countries were amazing neighbours in those 100 years, right?
Russia represents huge threat to what exactly?
They know the Russian langauge which which was one of official languages in Baltic countries when they were born.
KPlusGauda@reddit
You only hear what you want to hear.
If you spend some time in dark parts of Croatian Reddit, you might also think that we only think about WWII, Serbia, Bosnia, Hercegovina this and that. And this goes for many countries.
Maybe give some effort and learn about their history, art, nature, language, heritage, etc, they are much, much more than just a hate towards Russia. Also, again, learn a bit more about how Russia treated them in the last 100 years.
Russia, and I beg you, stop being ignorant, is a huge threat to their independence and peace. Now I know what you think - but Russia is such a nice neighbor to Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia; it also treats its minorities so good; BUT, somehow, these three countries still feel a bit threatened.
And yes - Russian was an official language 35 years ago. It isn't anymore.
Typical-Froyo-642@reddit
Why would I want to hear that?
Honestly...Croats also do have kinda unhealthy obsession with Serbs and you dont have to go to dark parts of reddit to see it.
How did they treated themselfs in the last 100 years? They dont even acknowladge that. Or the Jews. Or the Russians. They only see themselfs as victims in every situation. Im not saying that they are not more than hatred against Russia, they used to be much more than that during 20th century. But they erased good chunk of their history that does not fit into nationalist victimhood narrative.
Beg yourself. Russia is not any big of a threat to peace and independence than NATO and its puppet states. Moldova is not even Russian neigbor and Belarus and Georgia both have government friendly to Russia. If they feel theratened it is more by the constant western interference into their politics. Russi 100% treats its minorities better than Georgia, Ukraine or Moldova. There is a big reason that all those countries had uprisings of their minority groups.
Ok, I was just explaing whey they don speak baltic languages.

Visited the Baltics a couple of years ago, loved it. Loved the food and architecture. Tallinn and Vilnius have a Nordic vibe but Riga definitely has a Russian influence. It was kind of interesting cause Lithuania didn’t and it was the farthest from any Nordic countries. Riga reminded me of home really. I’m planning to go back to Lithuania soon.
One-Yam8731@reddit
I think Russia will probbaly at some point end them. Not because they want or need that to be done but shire agression and russofobia from these countries exceeds Britain's and Americans combined.
Like imagine San Marino constantly pushes and implements anti Italian policies and slogans while also doing some military shenanigans with drones etc.
It would literally force Italy to make a plain grassland from their state.
SpiritAnimal69@reddit
So what you're saying is that we should just bend over and take it from russia? What drone shenanigans are you talking about?
One-Yam8731@reddit
You should just mind your own businesses and focus on yourself and your well-being. I am talking about NATO drones and actions in the Baltic sea labeled as Ukranian.
I am not supporting either side and frankly as majority people say here i dont think about Baltics.
It os just mind boggling watching from the news, podcasts and alternative media that every here and there Estonia takes some anti russian actions on a wide range of things.
If this nobody like Kaja Kalas is proving to be extraordinary specimen when it comes to Russofobia.
What do you expect me to saywhen i see that Hasbullah is provoking prime Mike Tyson for a fight?
Do you expet me to say bravo, you can win if you fight hard? Just stfu and be quiet unless you wanna make a mistake and in that case the two eyes in your head wont be enough for crying.
SpiritAnimal69@reddit
That's kinda what we're trying to do. It's not like russia is just chilling there minding it's own business and we just decided to hate on it for no reason. The reason why the people and the government are so vocal against russia is because we want the world to know that we don't want to have anything to do with it. And you're right, we probably wouldn't have a chance against russia on our own, but even if we wouldn't do anything, russia would still just try and start shit like it did in Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova... If you think thats paranoia or "russophobia" then you're just wrong, and it's coming from someone who is part russian
One-Yam8731@reddit
If you really think that Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova are just Russia being bored and attacked for no reason than i suggest you to research and educate yourself on those subjects.
If we follow that logic than Israel is promoting peace in Gaza and USA is helping Iranian people while Zelensky is a Jesus Christ incarnated
I mean for bashing communists in the past on how they spread propaganda, it is a real shame that we in a modern technological era still have difficulty to filter and process accurate information.
On your very own eyes USA is demonstrating that they are the greatest enemy to mankind and that all conspiracy theories are probably truth.
Just wake up and let the Jews, Americans, English, Germans fight end die agsinst Russia. We small folk should just keep quiet and lay low. Do not make a mistake like Ukraine.
SpiritAnimal69@reddit
I've done enough research, consume russian media and have spent significant time in russia and belarus. Russia is not your friend, it's not even a friend to it's own people... It's a collapsing empire that's desperately trying to cling on to power. I partially agree about USA and Israel, but if you think russia is somehow better in any way you're very very wrong. Sadly, nations that are geographically further away from russia are only exposed to it's soft power thus seem to be more vulnerable to russian propoganda, so it's kinda understandable that you don't understand russia.
One-Yam8731@reddit
Russia better when it comes to interaction with rest of the world like Earth and Sky difference. I dont care they their living standards are bad etc every country has its own issues. As for partially agree as you said i suppose the compplete extermination of Palestinians and Iranian should be sufficient for you to completely agree?
Maybe food prices and collapsing economy is a good reason or no?
I really have to give it to the USA no joke and sarcasm. They are masters and geniuses when it comes to making slaves love their chains. Literally Nazi's are a joke when it comes to american propaganda.
SpiritAnimal69@reddit
Russia's "better" interaction with the rest of the world is just russia trying to polarize as many people as possible. I don't really care about their poor living standards, the thing is they try to impose those same living standards and "culture" on the surrounding nations and if they don't want to be part of this beautiful russian world then similar fate to ukraine awaits.
I agree that what USA is doing is pretty fucked up, but sadly, as small nations we can't afford to not take sides and just because of our closest and only threat in the neighborhood, the side is pretty obvious, at least until (if ever) europe gets it's shit together.
Also, nazi and USA propoganda is/was very different. The nazi propoganda was primarily focused on their own population, not on brainwashing the rest of the world
One-Yam8731@reddit

People on Russian social media joke about nuking one of the Baltic capitals because they assume there would be no reaction from NATO, it's just that since it's in Russian not everybody can see it. It's absolutely fair to have bad opinions on them if there is no real pushback anywhere
Famous-Buy136@reddit

hermand_gutzeit@reddit
Dude, no, that's you not being aware of what russia is. There's 500 years of history worth of reasons to. It's like an asian telling a european “you could calm down about nazi Germany a bit”, nor do I expect a greek to lovingly embrace turks.
the_lonely_creeper@reddit
Yes, but that's where you're wrong. I consider it very racist of my compatriots if they're like "Turks are all evil monsters and we should throw out of Greece every last one of them, because they enslaved/conquered/colonised us, and they're not actually native here".
Contrary_Kind@reddit

MartinBP@reddit

the_lonely_creeper@reddit
I don't fault them at all for being nervous about Russia. They're absolutely right about that.
It's the treatment and the opinion towards Russians themselves that I tend to fault them for.
Greydragon38@reddit
I mean given how Russians treated them, can you blame them?
Obvious-Desk4573@reddit
Replace 'Russians' in your sentence with any other ethnic group or nationality and it would be just as racist.
Taht_Funky_Dude@reddit
Only here you talk about white people on both sides, so no racism involved. Stop using the word for everything you don't like.
Maybe you are the person that goes to Ukrainians and ask them: "Why do you hate Russians, are you racist"🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Obvious-Desk4573@reddit
Racism, as defined by Wiktionary, is:
A Russian can be racist towards a French person and vice versa, even if both are white.
hermand_gutzeit@reddit
What opinion towards them? That they boast themselves as guardians of traditional values, yet statistically only show extremely high rates of family violence? High rates of alcohol abuse? That too often then not russians visiting your country are rude, inpolite, aggressive towards others? expecting others to speak russian?
I could go on, but there would be no end. Not to belittle a person born russian, as there are many morally good individuals. But as a whole, it is as bad as people from our regions say it to be, and even more so from those who understand their language and what they say.
Voidwielder@reddit

iLoveDocks@reddit
From my experience, they are very critical and straightforward, not really negative. They are developing so much and have such a high quality of life, that they have no reason to be angry.
Archaeopteryx111@reddit
Everyone in ex-commie countries is angry…except for Slovenia.

Unpopular opinion maybe but I honestly think all of the Balkans are really chill. A lot of the nationalism is straight up performative

Baltic counties lost almost 1/2 of their population since the 90s. I think the situation where they are told they are "developed so much" on paper, but a depopulated wasteland in reality, causes this severe cognitive dissonance which is why all Balts suffer from severe hysteria and mental breakdowns.
SpiritAnimal69@reddit
A significant chunk of people who left in the 90s were people from ex-USSR who went back to their countries of origin. But it's true that a lot of people (including me) left when the borders with other, wealthier EU countries became open. But for the past 4-5 years more people are returning than leaving, at least in Lithuania.

DowntownMarzipan2@reddit
I guess I'm going to be the unpopular opinion.
Visited Kaunas and Vilnius in Lithuania, during -25 degrees in February. Had a really fun time. I'm still recreating the tasty dishes I had there back at home. I made friends with Lithuanians and Latvians, fell in love with their stories of national appreciation. These are proud people much like every Balkan person in a different way of course.
I am planing to come back again during the summer, I really need to explore lakes, nature besides cities.
Cesis, Riga, Tartu, and the area around them is tempting me a lot.
Markomannia@reddit
Tasty Lithuanian dishes?! Could you name a single one of them? Cause I visited many times and never have I seen a tasty Lithuanian dish.
DowntownMarzipan2@reddit
Maybe I'm just biased but everything feels like a vitamine bomb there. To name a few, I think in Bulgaria and Serbia we call it "Sarma", the Lithuanian version is called Balandeliai which is more savory than ours. They also have a warm version of the Saltibarsciai (Sorry Latvians, it's how I know to call it) which I personally prefer.
Of course Cepelinai are a good choice if you're very hungry. Always leaves me stuffed.
puzzledpanther@reddit
Cepelinai is like taking a potato, torturing the fuck out of it until it doesn't remember what it tastes like, then adding some filling and fatty pork/onion sauce in order for it to actually taste like something.
It's one of them most absurd national dishes I've ever had.
It was edible with that sauce though.
I love Lithuania though... so beautiful in Spring and their development has been stellar in the last 15 years... the exact opposite of Greece.
KPlusGauda@reddit
I must ask, what makes LT beautiful in spring? Because it's green?
I respect the Baltic countries but they are too flat for me to be beautiful.
puzzledpanther@reddit
I live on mountain so I see enough of them. I don't mind a bit of flatness for a change... also loooooots of lakes and forests.
A lot of Lithuanians have small wooden summer houses which they often take very good care of. This means that a lot of them have gardens blooming in spring with lots of flowers. Lithuanians in general are also very creative with hands & crafts stuff... and they use a lot of wood. I find that combination very beautiful.
KPlusGauda@reddit
OK yes, you made very good points. I am also basically from a mountain, living in Zagreb now. I like all types of nature and topography.

Both regions have spent the better part of the last millennium being squeezed between large, highly expansionist empires. This shared historical trauma has resulted in a mutual appreciation for dark humor and a deep-seated skepticism of large neighboring nations.
Another similarity is that both areas feature linguistic isolates or extremely complex language families that take outsiders decades to master (looking at you, Lithuanian and Albanian). But there are some differences too. For example, the Baltics are exceptionally flat. The Balkans, on the other hand, are essentially an endless series of jagged mountain ranges where people historically decided to draw borders.
Ok_Complex8873@reddit
That is not correct about last millenium being squeezed.
Grand Duchy Of Lithuania for a very long time, up until the 18th century was the one of the largest if not the largest empires in Europe. The nobility fucked up and Lithuania got gobbled up by Prussians, Russians, Austro-Hungrian empires.
Lithuanian language is NOT an isolate. You could say that is an original language that stayed conservative.
Poglavnik_Majmuna01@reddit
They seem like hardworking and competent nations that quickly developed. They can sometimes behave like chihuahuas but given that this attitude is only direct towards Russians I think it’s perfectly understandable.
ozolsieva@reddit
It is okay to criticise Baltics, if you people really think it is appropriate but the chihuahahas thing being repeated here is very telling. It comes from an old video of Zhiranovsky from late 2000s, where he went on about whatever he disagreed about and went on to threten to nuke the Baltics as well. Not that people would necessarily know where it is from but it shows from whom it is taken.
Poglavnik_Majmuna01@reddit
I despise Russia so I am not at all against Baltic attitudes towards them, but that doesn’t change the fact that such behaviour resembles chihuahuas.

The only thing I knew about Lithuania was that they are good at basketball. This summer I met some friends from there, became close, went to Lithuania in february and it was a perfect trip. Kaunas lives for basketball, the city is more of a soviet style and in Vilnius you can see more Russian influence. Both cities were amazing, clean and had a lot of fun places to see. Also, the nature is wonderful. The cuisine is unexpectedly good (search saltibarscai and cepelinai) and they drink A LOT of beer. All in all I would say to visit Lithuania if you have a chance and as for Latvia and Estonia, I have heard that they are also worth visiting.

From personal experience knowing a few people from there and talking to others online, I’d say that my least favorite are by far Lithuanians — while Estonians and especially Latvians seem to be less oppressive. The Lithuanians I’ve known have always been some of the most negative people out there, despite being in the EU and having a vastly more developed nation than we do. They also seem to be bootlicky toward Brussels.

I had no strong opinion on Baltics until I went there and lived in Latvia for 2 months as a guest of a friend. I have never felt that sadness and dullness ever before or since in any country I have been. Also it was the first time I ever considered if I am being racially profiled, but then realized people are rude and cold with everyone, not just me. I can't comment on Estonia or Lithuania, I have heard it is a bit better, but for Latvia I have very strong bad feelings. Young people seem to be growing out of it, and I totally understand where this xenophobia and bitterness comes from (ex USSR), but I couldn't ignore it no matter how much I tried.
For comparison, I went to Sweden which is supposedly more "cold" and distant but people were just... neutral

Mostly think of them when westerners confuse the two (usually Americans).
Also I follow Eurovision, so I think Estonians are funny and based (most of the time), Lithuanians are artsy/melancholic, and Latvians are more grounded and earthy.
I saw someone say recently that the Baltics don’t have many natural disaster threats, or many animals that can kill you, but you do have Russians next door as a major public health hazard… so now I think of that too.

The friend ( F) is blond and has a Greek name popular in Russia, likes of Aleksandar, Elena etc. She has no connection to Russia, has never been there and doesn't speak a word of Russian. Yet at the border she got interrogated, we almost missed the airplane because of that, they were NASTY to her and speaking exclusively in Russian ( i had to translate, they didn't even provide an interpreter...) I have a few friends from the region. Two of them really good friends; one from Lithuania and one from Estonia. Both of them are lovely people. The Estonian one is perfectly weird in a cute way.
I think neither of them makes a lot of money, but they can afford a nice middle class life. That must mean that their countries are affordable as of yet. Their common hate of the Russian state is understandable. They seem to not have destroyed their forests, which is great. I expected some distance from them, but they seem to be very warm people. The Estonian friend gives the best bear hugs; you know, hugging and squeezing as hard as you can. But I think they don't find their fellow citizens all that warm, perhaps that's why they befriended a Balkan lad. (Hi.) Then again, every Lithuanian person I met has been very nice.
I would like to meet more Estonians, but having that friend from there, I think I already met 9% of their entire population.
Joking aside, my opinion of the Baltics is positive.

Really cool dude, told me about their culture and situation, got massive respect for 3 lil' (comparatively) countries that stick it to the ruskies on a daily basis.
Besides that? I'm sad that they're not as advanced as they could be (same as the balkans) because of the enshittification russification brings to every culture (from extreme corruption to outright destructive behavior).

The forgotten lands. I think about them from time to time, wondering if they are still there or if they have been possibly obducted by aliens.
Like for real, if aliens landed there and obducted everyone from the Baltics, how long would it take for someone to realize that something is wrong? Maybe, like the proverbial tree falling in the woods without anyone hearing it fall, no one would even register since it's the fuckin Baltics and no one ever talks about them for whatever reason.
I will say that I respect Estonia's IT literacy and the fact that they are close to the forefront of cyber security. I understand that this is most likely out of necessity considering their neighbour to the east, but it's something the other Balkan nations should try and emulate.

Weird little guys. I like them. They so tiny and angry 🥰 They also have a weird sense of humor. I like it also. But I don't think I could adapt to living there. We will visit them next year for holiday. Hope Putin doesn't ruin our summer trip.. 😂 just kidding.

I don't know which is which. I know that Estonia is larping as Nordic so it must be at the very top, otherwise it would just be weird. For the others, I honesty don't know why they made two versions with vaguely the same name but I really can't be bothered to remember.

I admire their russophobia, we have to step up ours

Had a chance to explore and really liked all three. I did expect the baltics to be a lot more similar, but found them very diverse.

Only that I once met a nice Estonian, and there are cheap flights between Belgrade and Riga, so I might go there one day.
