Still bummed my parents wouldn't let me get this shirt.

Has 90's nostalgia made its way to this shirt, yet?
2livepeer@reddit
Rocking mine somewhere in Clearwater, 99 or 2000
ParamedicLimp9310@reddit
I quote this ad far more regularly than what seems necessary. đ
Crans10@reddit
I had this shirt. Sadly someone stole it from my dorm room.
Feral_Sheep_@reddit
I still have it. My daughter likes wearing it now.
Ant_Lantern@reddit
I got in trouble for wearing it to school. So I wore it more. Then I got banned from wearing it period or risked expulsion. Stupid small town school system.
afoz345@reddit
Hey! My man! Make 7, Up yours!
OutlawJuicyWhales@reddit
I once knew a guy with a variant of this shirt that absolutely killed: "MAKE 7 FUCK YOU"
Cactilily@reddit
My ex-bf used to work for Pepsi and had those. Of course I âborrowedâ a couple. They were so cozy
Agreeable-Chart-5561@reddit

I think we established that "kaka-kaka" and "tookie-tookie" don't work.

You're the man tonight, Clifford Fanklin.
mrs_hippiequeen@reddit
i rewatched this recently, and in the scene where they're talking about quicksand, some of them are wearing underarmour! i didn't know it existed back then đ
PurpleDraziNotGreen@reddit
"He thinks he's an athlete"

KellyAnn3106@reddit
I had the Levi's "Button Your Fly" shirt. My dad thought it was inappropriate for a preteen girl to be wearing.
AstuteStoat@reddit
That was my gateway tshirt. It opened the gates to other silly tshirts.Â
Trick_Marketing_9567@reddit
Same to me :)
MoxEric@reddit
Oh SHIT I had this shirt and forgot all about it!
mrs_hippiequeen@reddit
our school would make every person who wore it turn it inside out đ
Shirkaday@reddit
Yep, definitely got in trouble for it a couple times. I wasn't the only one either! 1997 IIRC...
mrs_hippiequeen@reddit
what's wild is when i see this shirt, i think of colombine
GringoSwann@reddit
Same... Also Billabong clothing...
b1gd4ddychubb5@reddit
Had one. Some tweaker stole it from me
Rare_Background8891@reddit
Omg! We were just talking about this today!
When did the phrase âup yoursâ go away anyway? My kids had no idea what it meant and had never heard it. I pointed out itâs a famous line in Independence Day which they have seen.
RodinKnox@reddit
As kids, we loved all the variations. "Up your nose with a rubber hose!" in particular saw a lot of use.
Tall-Introduction414@reddit
Seymour Skinner/Armen Tanzarian in 1998, driving away on a motorcycle. "Up yours, children!"

Royal-Wealth-8266@reddit
Possibly because of this ad? It needs a comeback.Â
HTownGuero666@reddit
I had it and wore it with great pride my freshman year of college. One of the dumbest, best ads ever.
RodinKnox@reddit
I absolutely did the same and wore that shirt until it wore out, and I had to get rid of it.
thebarnacleez@reddit
Me too, I wore holes into that shirt
GringoSwann@reddit
I did that with a pair of jean shorts.. Blew the crotch out them thangs...

You gotta take em off every now and then. YOU GOTTA TAKE EM OFF SON!

IASIP in the wild!
GringoSwann@reddit
I miss that denim!
Undercover_Chimp@reddit
I had a teacher try to make me turn it inside out or go home. So I elected to go home, but I stopped by the front office for a copy of the student handbook. After confirming it did not violate any rules, I wore the shirt again the next day and made the teacher accompany me to the principalâs office for a spirited debate that I won. I was a student hero for like two, two and a half days.
estephens13@reddit
Me too. The problem was every time I wore it half the people I saw would just yell "Up yours!" at me and I would be supper confused for half a second till I remembered I was wearing it.
timiam@reddit
Me too! I got mine on a visit to the Mall of America and wore the crap out of it.
_jackson_0@reddit
That ad campaign was peak 90s marketing genius. You were definitely the coolest person in the dorm.
HTownGuero666@reddit
It was. And I now work in marketing đ
RuncibleFoon@reddit
I had this shirt, wore it waaay longer than was socially acceptable. Stopped wearing it the day I interacted with "peers" who no longer understood the reference.
lazypenguin86@reddit
I love mine, also had a shirt that had a little tree emblem with âSave a Treeâ in tiny letters and the under it in Huge letters was âEat a Beaver!â
QuicksandDance@reddit
There are real life photos of me wearing this in Cancun while Carson Daily and Jessica Simpson pretend to perform spring break
neuro_space_explorer@reddit

strippersandcocaine@reddit

emthewiser@reddit
My date and I wore these shirts to a dance. He turned his backwards for the pic so you could see the whole slogan đ
SenorWeird@reddit
What I remember most about this commercial is Kevin West going "Same to you, buddy!"
HamsGamsandYams@reddit
This t-shirt is the first gift I ever bought a man. I was a college freshman dating a senior and he loved it.
RobF15@reddit
I wore this to a Baltimore Orioles game back when the commercial was still airing. A group of kids stopped me to take a photo with me, front then back.
DinnerSilver@reddit
This was genius marketing at the time.
Whatscheiser@reddit
This shirt is the most durable product I have ever owned. I can still wear it. You can hardly read what it says anymore, but the damn thing just never developed any holes or wore through. Which is kind of amazing since I'm lucky if I can get a t-shirt that lasts longer than a year these days.
PossibleMechanic89@reddit
I have it. Got it from teepublic.
Ok-Criticism6874@reddit
This guy went to my high school
jackfaire@reddit
Lol this reminds me of the Sofa King Cool t-shirt I had. I wore it to the office all the time on Casual Fridays. One day my boss looks at it and goes "you're always wearing that what does it...oh...oh (starts laughing)....don't wear that again"
elonmusktheturd22@reddit
I got detention for yelling "up yours too buddy" like the commercial when i saw someone wear this shirt in high school.
FoppyRETURNS@reddit
MY BROTHER HAD THIS SHIRT!!!
ssssobtaostobs@reddit
The cool thing about the internet is that you can look up the shit that your parents wouldn't let you have on eBay, buy it and have it delivered to your house within a week.
It blows my mind how accessible random shit is now.
Professional-Ad-8150@reddit
I had âTake 7 / Up Yoursâ from Hot Topic
Fuckspez42@reddit
Anyone else remember that ~3-week period where Orlando Jones was in everything?
larryb78@reddit
Same to you pal!
Katherineew@reddit
Same.. to me :)
shinobiken@reddit
I only saw one in the wildâin Fukuoka, Japan, on 9/11/2001. What a way to remember that day!

Sight_Distance@reddit
I still have it, and itâs in my rotation.

scottyv99@reddit
I had this shirt.
Natural-Gur40@reddit
I have a picture of myself crawling through Nutty Putty Caves wearing that shirt.
MalapropRhetoric@reddit
My friends and I got these shirts at Spencerâs or Hot Topic early on. Then went to Cedar Point for a weekend and we got so many compliments on the shirts. We told everyone we worked for 7-Up and that is how we obtained the shirts. Still makes me laugh to this day.
Illystylez619@reddit
I met Orlando Jones when he was doing promo for a horror movie with actors who were twins. Really nice guy, really humble, super funny in person, he was really impressed by what we were doing and told us so. It was really sweet.
Lance_leaf@reddit
I'm just mad I don't have mine anymore. It was a real one too, got it from a 7up driver that was a friend.
wizardofmops@reddit
My exâs brother had that shirt!!!
Emergency_Rush_4168@reddit
It was a stupid campaign even back then
western_style_hj@reddit
He was great in these. My favorite ad was when he said the trick to selling more 7-Up was putting vending machines in âhigh traffic areasâ. Smash cut to a semi obliterating a machine on the highway and Jones just looking like âwell damnâŚâ
DooleysInTheHouse@reddit
Bought one on my 8th grade class trip and wasnât allowed to wear it. My parents were the ones who bought it lol
veringer@reddit
I bought this shirt at Mardi Gras in 1999.

I actually ended up with two of these shirts for a while. Mom had to show up to the middle school one day and bring me a new sbirt because i wore it and got in trouble. It was lame as fuck because everyone has seen the commercials.
