Fine_Advantage_4625@reddit
Flew to Manchester to see Gorillaz this spring. From Vancouver, Canada.
canspreadmulch@reddit
Dublin from London to see Page and Plant. My brothers coming from Australia to see The Cure in June!
quarky_uk@reddit
Would loved to have seen Page and Plant. I was in NZ at the time, so a bit too far at that age unfortunately!
canspreadmulch@reddit
Video? I didn’t know there was a video
quarky_uk@reddit
There was! I had it on VHS. Or maybe Betamax...
It got chewed so probably VHS.
Logical_Bake_3108@reddit
Amazing, I would have done the same for anything Zep related.
canspreadmulch@reddit
My best mates a huge Zepplin fan, me not so much I just went because some house mates were going. He’s pissed he didn’t get to go. I remind him of it every now and then
Wishmaster891@reddit

Teleopsis@reddit
London to Zurich to see Nightwish
Wishmaster891@reddit
very nice! Hope to do another gig of theirs on the mainland when their hiatus ends(if it does!)
DevilBadger@reddit

Logical_Bake_3108@reddit
Probably Finland or Italy (not sure what's furthest from the UK) or technically New Zealand, but I didn't go there specifically for gigs, I just saw a few when I was there.

Citroen_CX@reddit
Kraftwerk at the old VW power plant (‘kraftwerk,’ indeed) at Wolfsburg. Two shows in one night, the first time they presented their graphics in 3-D. It was a complete surprise, with flunkies handing out 3-D specs halfway through the show.

GreatChaosFudge@reddit
If theatre counts, I did London to Shanghai for a week and went to the show every night.
Mikey463@reddit
It was going to see a band called "las pastilles del abuelo" in Malaga a few years back but I got very sick and couldn't go. Amazingly the played their first UK show in London in 2025 and it was incredible. Other than that Oxford is the farthest so not far at all. London has lots of gigs.
ddmf@reddit

I'd just separated from my ex-wife, was having a rough time. Started playing wow again and fell in with a really good group of people - two were a couple in real life.

Shashi2005@reddit
Liverpool to Poole. Set out 6am to get to the gig. A wedding reception. Best man met us at the door. "Put your drinks down to room 21." he said. Big mistake. I don't drink at gigs but the drummer started drinking Guinness & port cocktails. We ran up a £350 bar tab & I just had diet coke. One of my instruments was damaged in the van. We drove back home and split the cash. After petrol costs we got £5 each. Why do we bother?

Also went to a festival in Lisbon once: Radiohead, Foals, Wolf Alice, Arcade Fire, Pixies, loads and loads. Gorgeous weather and the beer was priced in such a way that it wasn’t offensive, unlike UK festivals!

Landed it lucky for one at Alexandra Palace in 2018, got free parking there all day so we parked, got the bus and tube into central London, had a decent day, back to the gig, then straight to the car and on the way home
