Choosing Motherboard and GPU

Hello, I am attempting to build my very first PC (7 7 9800x3D/5070 Ti)!! I am currently stuck on the motherboard and GPU:
-GPU I am deciding between ASUS TUF OC 5070 Ti or Gigabyte Aero OC 5070 Ti. As
-Motherboard I can’t decide between the MSI Tomahawk, ASUS ROG Strix and the Gigabyte AORUS
Please recommend!!!

For the GPU it doesn't really matter, go with the one you think looks the best or is the cheapest. For the motherboard you need to give the full name, for example the MSI Tomahawk has 3 versions that works with this build: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI, MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI and MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI. The ASUS ROG Strix and Gigabyte AORUS have even more options

Sorry I was looking at the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk Max Wifi as I thought it was the most compatible with 7 9800

No worries, the MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk Max Wifi might be a bit overkill, unless you really want to spend over 200 on a motherboard or need specific features. The Gigabyte B850 GAMING X WIFI6E, MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIFI will be perfect. Even the Gigabyte B850 EAGLE WIFI6E or MSI B850 GAMING PLUS WIFI would be fine

Can I ask in what way is it overkill? Its confusing because they all say B850 just with different names
Thilraphor@reddit
B850 is the chipset of the motherboard. The fact that it's overkill is the price. I have the same CPU and a B650 motherboard

Thanks for the help!

No worries, just make sure the board has strong VRMs and a PCIe 5 slot for the GPU, those are the most important in a nutshell

Can I just send you what I originally had listed for almost all components?
Thilraphor@reddit
Yeah of course. I have to leave in a bit so if you don't mind waiting go all for it

The choice is ultimately the features you need. I'd say Aorus, gigabyte has very good reputation in mobos.

Can you expand what you mean by features? Sorry very new to this
