Need help building a PC - Australia

Hello!
I've been wanting to build a PC for a while now but have just never gotten around to it as everything is so overwhelming!
I'm a complete beginner at this type of stuff as I've grown up playing games only on consoles - right now, I use the PS5 on the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 32inch 240Hz Curved 4k UHD QLED VA monitor (just wanted to be as detailed here as I read somewhere that the monitor affects some parts of the PC if i'm not mistaken??)
My budget is currently $2000 AUD - maybe a little bit over if needed. I'd also prefer a PC that isn't too big and is all white as well as WI-FI connected rather than wire!
What would be the best parts to play games in 1440p smoothly? I usually stick to open world, RPG and storyline rather than FPS.
I'm hoping to play AAA games and enjoy titles like the Resident Evil franchise, Tomb Raider franchise, Assassin's Creed, The Sims, Tekken, Elden Ring, Pragmata etc. as I play them on my PS5!
I know right now the prices are abysmal but just wanted to ask around and see what I should be looking out for.
So any help or build recommendations would be amazing!
Oh, and i'm based in Australia so AUD pricing and locations would be so amazing!

So like you said, the prices are insane right now. But there is also something known as "white tax", meaning you pay more for the same thing, but it is white. Both these systems will be able to play on 1440p but not on the highest settings
So all white (besides RAM cuz, its that expensive):

And no colour prefrence (better CPU):

The NQ790 uses QLC flash, which has low durability and becomes noticeably slower after a few years. A better drive with TLC flash would be, e.g., the Corsair MP500 Pro LPX, Patrior P310, or Crucial P510.
