ULPT request: How to ruin a TV

Hi everyone,
Just to give you an idea of my situation, I (24M) am renting a room at a basement with 2 other people (3 rooms in total). I had a very big problem before with one of my housemates. He (Unemployed) would invite people over all the time and watch TV on full volume around 10PM onwards which makes it a nightmare for me to fall asleep (My room is literally behind that tv). I have talked to them before and it did nothing at all, they would still continue with their watching. Fortunately, this neighbor of mine just moved out yesterday. I am now trying to prevent this from happening again by sabotaging this TV and ruining it without anyone knowing it was me. Landlord really doesn't go here and doesn't care about damages (he is an asshole and all he cares about is getting the rooms rented). I want to ruin it and if someone says anything about it, i will just point the finger to my old housemate.
I won't really get caught as long as the ruining of the TV is discreet. I was thinking of spraying bleach or chemicals on the back of it to ruin the circuits. It has to be 100% ruined and not be able to turn on. Otherwise, they might just use it anyway.
Any advice will be appreciated. And yes, I know this is really unethical but that is why I came here.

Just buy an LG. It’ll ruin itself.

USA?
Get a step-up transformer that's used to provide 230V to European machines, and let the TV have a dose of that.

There is 480v. /s
Gadgetman_1@reddit
Yes, but that would require messing about with making a cable.
The transformer is a plug'n smash solution...

I was being sarcastic hence the “ /S”

cut the cord

I'd move it, as someone else suggested, but also turn on night mode and maybe they will never notice. If you mess it up they will most likely replace it. If the new tenant keeps you up, come back and we will definitely help you get them to self evict.

Is it mounted to the wall? If not move it to the other side of the room. If this isn't an option look up how to disassemble the TV and desolder the power cable from TV. The new guy will think it just died.
Vegaprime@reddit
I like the moving idea. Any sabotage will jist result in a replacement.

That's also visible in case of service/repair.

Yeah, liquids down the back. But be careful. You don't want evidence of 'seepage' coming out the bottom in case you use too much.
I'd avoid anything with an odour. Just try water. pour or spray a bit in, and turn the TV on, see what happens.
Also consider the possible risk of fire. Electronics and water aren't friends.
Good luck saboteur.

Spraying is better than pouring.
HugsandHate@reddit
Agreed.

Unscrew the cover snip the audio cable. Spraying boards is probs not the best idea.

That's visible if it's taken to be serviced.
