Made a barrel to fire the nearly forgotten .17HMR2/.17Mach2 round from my Walther PPK. Also did some precision and chronograph testing for a video: https://youtu.be/IO_8xKXSiJ0

It's not that complicated to build... but selling them is complicated because I'm in germany and can't sell gun parts to the US

You need courses and hard to get permits to manufacture essential firearm parts in Germany or is it relatively easy? Heard it's harder to get a gun than in Poland and more restrictive, but Idk about manufacture – that's the hard part here.

Basically there is only one way to legally manufacturer or modify a gun a germany: you need a manufacturers license...

And to get a manufacturers license you need to be a master gunsmith (except for small exceptions)

To become a master gunsmith, you have to learn the job for 3 years as an apprentice and go to school and pass exams. Then you are a gunsmith, but police still won't give you the license... you need to go to a master gunsmithing school with even more exams and build your own traditional Drilling. Only after passing these exams and paying more fees you are allowed to get the license and manufacture guns (or modify or sell them)

That seems kind of sketchy… everything I’ve ever read about the .17 rounds says that you need to have some kind of delay on the breech opening due to pressure, and that simple blowback will have a lot of problems. Do you have any issues with ejection, case blowouts, anything like that?
