Make cigarettes much more addictive, but completely harmless.

Customers no longer die young, and consume even more. Massively increase profits.

The biggest harm of cigarettes is there addictiveness not the physical harm.

That's not true. Upvoted.

While we won't know the full heath effects for awhile, this has already been happening for about 20 years now. Vaping, while most likely still harmful, is probably far less harmful than smoking, Zyn's are probably less harmful than vaping as they don't involve inhaling anything into your lungs. Nicotine itself isn't particularly harmful compared to everything else that's in a cigarette.
afungalmirror@reddit (OP)
Why would you say this on a submarine called "crazy ideas"?
Green__lightning@reddit
Not completely harmless, but that's exactly what vapes are, a stronger, healthier cigarette. How much this actually applies for an imported cheap product is however debatable, as most of the harm from them is from cheap heating coils, not the liquid itself.
Impressive_Sock1296@reddit
You can’t make them harmless. Breathing something that’s not air into our lungs will pretty much always be dangerous.
bedir56@reddit
Sounds like the problem is our lungs.
Kind-Stomach6275@reddit
Just make them 80% nitrogen 20% oxygen
Impressive_Sock1296@reddit
1% argon, surely.Â
Kind-Stomach6275@reddit
Why not
snopro387@reddit
That’s the trick to making them addictive too. Pollute all the air, then create “cigarettes” that are the only source of fresh clean air. Boom, they’re addictive because you need them to live and now they’re actually healthier than breathing the outside air
afungalmirror@reddit (OP)
So what?
rasputin1@reddit
TrueÂ
25sittinon25cents@reddit
Damn, sounds like OP's idea is kinda crazy.
jizzyjugsjohnson@reddit
Vapes Brad. You’ve invented Vapes
jrv3034@reddit
Vapes are very much harmful.

Water?
afungalmirror@reddit (OP)
You can't smoke water.
jamesbest7@reddit
Yea, not with that attitude.
Your_As_Stupid_As_Me@reddit
You absolutely can burn water.
sonofblackbird@reddit
This dude vapors
shponglespore@reddit
You can separate it into atoms or subatomic particles, but I wouldn't call that burning.
cabronfavarito@reddit
He clearly invented some new process of changing the chemical structure of water so that it remains solid when burnt.
limbodog@reddit
Have you tried?
Tiny_stickedguy@reddit
this is the dumbest idea ive ever heard lol, anything too much is gonna hurt you, making something extra addictive you can be 100% it's gonna be over used and its gonna hurt you big time
afungalmirror@reddit (OP)
Maybe you're on the wrong sub then?
snopro387@reddit
Get your crazy ideas out of my crazy idea sub
Communismisbadithink@reddit
Makes sense to me. You should also make sure that it makes extra smoke so that it makes you look as cool as possible
shponglespore@reddit
How do you make cigarettes more addictive? Lace them with fentanyl? I can't think of any ideas that wouldn't make them even more deadly.
cabronfavarito@reddit
The thing is, addiction is both physiological and mental. So while it’s true you can become addicted ti anything (mental) you can force addiction with a substance like nicotine (physiologically) but there comes a dosage where a substance is absolutely harmful. The limiter here is how feeble human lives are
So you need to find a way to play on the mental aspect more than the physiological aspect
afungalmirror@reddit (OP)
I don't know but whoever works out how stands to make a lotta money.
theboomboy@reddit
Paper straws with that squeaky toy thing in them?
Crafty_Aspect8122@reddit
It's called vapes.
Impressive_Sock1296@reddit
Those damage your lungs…
StaticFanatic3@reddit
You shouldn’t vape. It’s definitely not good for you.
But in comparison to cigarettes, they may as well be harmless. You’re talking about something with some evidence of rare cardiovascular effects and less certainty about long term effects versus literally the leading cause of death in American history.
afungalmirror@reddit (OP)
and aren't cigarettes.
PeachPuffPrincessa@reddit
People would start smoking out of boredom the same way they already scroll their phones, just with more ashes.
Anubis-Hound@reddit
You've got an idea. All you need now is a plan.
