I remember after Brazil had those horrible fires and lost huge amounts of forest they put little doggy saddlebags on collies filled with seed and had them run around the deforested areas with the seeds falling out in a slow stream. Great dogs.

Was surprised about that as well, to be honest. Many airports utilise falconry to scare off birds, but there's a learning effect. More intelligent species (like crows) will quickly realise if a threat can reach them or not.
