These videos are guaranteed to be the equivalent of padding an essay for length by saying bullshit. One movie will never require 9 hours of discussion.
shorts are a quick and easy way of spewing bullshit, video essays are a long and tedious way of spewing bullshit and trick people who see length and think it correlates to expertise
You can watch all of the sequel films in way less time then this review and form your own opinion instead of listening to some stranger on the internet.
Well I rather watch 3 films then watch some random on the internet blabbering for 14 hours.
Like I get if he got 3 video that each one is like 30 minutes but he makes 2 video that some are even longer then the movies so at this point I would rather go and watch the films or someone else who say the simular things but not make almost 5 hour super analysis of the films.
Instead of listening to some guy explain to you why hitting your balls with a hammer is painful, you could spend way less time hitting your own balls with a hammer and form your own opinion.
These kids inadvertently slandering Plinkett reviews don't even know how good a movie critique can be. Unironically more enjoyable than the actual prequels.
He's actually gone on record saying he'd make a shit load more if he broke his vids down into smaller episodes and released them like that, but his autism won't allow it.
he also said recently that he's financially stable so he can do whatever he wants now, he made a comic last year and will release a short movie in 2 weeks
Mauler reviews are more like disections, you watch them to watch a guy point out all the stuff that does and doesn't work on a piece of media so you can appreciate or hate it even more than you already did.
I need someone rambling autistically in the background while I play Europa Universalis. The movies need me to look at the screen, whereas this guy will just talk

Oh no, a video essay long-form, what horror!
The shorts keep eroding people's attention span, but it's the video essays that are supposed to be a problem?

TorfriedGiantsfraud@reddit
What if you compare this 1 movie to like 10 others
Skywarper@reddit
Why would it require a comparison to 10 others? That's just padding, you should be able to get your point across with like 2 or 3 others at most.

both are very rarely reliable for anything

It's more enjoyable to listen to this YouTube essay slop than watch the source material, unironically.
TorfriedGiantsfraud@reddit
Well that's how it is for h8ers of the movie obviously

OR, you can inject battery acid directly into your own urethra.
Impressive-Hat-4045@reddit
So btw this doesn't apply to you but for those who are >90 IQ, watching a video doesn't preclude them from forming an opinion separate from the video.
Terran_it_up@reddit
Tbf you can say the same about most poetry analysis as well
Owlsthirdeye@reddit
Yes but Mauler points out alot of stuff you might miss in a regular watch through since he's so thorough.
SpecialistParticular@reddit
Anon isn't wrong though. Have you seen a picture of Mauler in real life?
TorfriedGiantsfraud@reddit
Is that from Asoka

2.5, 1.3, 0.9 million views respectively. The guy is laughing all the way to the bank.

The guy monetized his autism. Spoony would be proud.

Pretty sure EFAP pays the bills, so he only makes videos on stuff he wants to cover now.
horiami@reddit
the funniest part is the series isn't done
back in like december he released a new part
SaltyHater@reddit
Why would anyone watch this review anyway? If you want to think that the new starslop is dogshit, then just watch it

Long form content like this is great to fall asleep to though when restless.

Also, it's ALWAYS a white man making these.

They were pretty good. That’s his portfolio btw.
