Can’t decide between a 9070XT or 5070 ti

Just finished making a list for my next PC -
CPU: 9950X3D
GPU: Stuck between 9070XT (because of the price) and 5070 ti (because of the built in encoding for streaming)
RAM: 32GB DDR 5 6000 PC-5 48000 CL36
Mobo: Aorus Master AM5 X870E
SSD: 1Tb M.2 SSD PCIE Gen 5
PSU: 850W
AIO: Corsair 360mm
So I was doing a lot of research about what kind of GPU would be good for gaming/streaming and I hit a fork in the road. Any insights or suggestions for what I should get?

Honestly, with a build focused on gaming + streaming, I’d rethink the parts balance more than the GPU choice.
A 9950X3D + X870E Master is premium-tier money, but for your use case a 9800X3D/9900X + solid B850 board would still be excellent and could free up budget for the 5070 Ti.
As for the GPUs:
If streaming is a real priority, I’d lean 5070 Ti. If mostly gaming, 9070 XT makes more sense.

Why drop from a 9950X3D if going for a streaming build? I agree on the 5070 Ti suggestion however.

Mostly value allocation. The 9950X3D is amazing, but for gaming + streaming the jump over a 9800X3D/9900X usually isn’t where I’d spend the extra money first.
Streaming today leans heavily on GPU encoders (NVENC/AV1), so putting more budget toward the GPU often gives a bigger real-world benefit than overspending on CPU tier.
If they’re also doing heavy productivity/rendering, then the 9950X3D makes more sense.

9070xt if strictly gaming. 5070ti if you plan on doing more

you're going with 9950x3d, i think you've passed the point of min-maxing with 9070xt, just get the 5070ti.

I figured. I’ll just downgrade the Mobo and CPU to make room for the 5070ti.

What are you using your computer for? If just gaming and streaming, you could swap to the 9800X3D and a B850 motherboard to save money. Then you can get the 5070 Ti.

It’s for gaming and streaming while multitasking. Just trying to make sure I get best bang for buck.

The 9950X3D and X870E motherboard are an unnecessary expense and not the best "bang for the buck".

Got it. I got carried away with the budget I have and what I could do with it 😅.

I love my 9070 xt. But if you're streaming and clearly have the extra budget just go 5070 ti.

This. If raster performance is equal the only things that matter are that nvidia has a better video encoder and ray tracing. AMD RT is catching up tho I wouldn’t be surprised if it the same performance wise in the next generation or maybe the one after
Tricky_Orange_4526@reddit
for me its 9070xt unless you're legit making solid money off streaming. i feel like that ship has kind of sailed otherwise.

If you like dlss over fsr? Thats the only reason to pay more for the 5070ti otherwise get the 9070xt. Also if your 90% gaming there is no reason for the 9950x3d. Get a 9800x3d its just as good at gaming 99% of the time. Hell my 7800x3d is so close to a 9800 I wont upgrade and money is no issue if I want it.

I have a TI myself and love it but the XT has basics the same performance. If u care about rtx and dlss go for that if it is with 150$, but if not the XT is definitely the better choice just based on price

The 9070 XT is great. FSR is good too, I do find the software clunky though compared to Nvidias.
I don’t know if that alone is worth the price difference for you though.
