Retired cop, if it was used in the commission of a crime under the illusion of a real firearm, or along side a real firearm, it has to be documented together since it’s evidence from the same incident. It has more to do with evidence tracking than anything else. These sorts of pictures are common for documentation, it being posted online is a whole different thing. I’ve never posted any work shit online for a multitude of reasons, but I’m guessing this one got put out there because of the whole battery on the rail of the airsoft thing going on, which is quite methy behavior.

I think it just got documented because it was found with the real gun.

Side note: There is basically no meth in PR outside a small gay scene, quite weird since the whole island is overrun with drugs but I think the drug lords don’t want meth heads running around so the street hard drugs are limited to heroin and drugs

I have met actual gay people who had done meth before even trying weed, I really don’t understand what’s going on in that scene

Meth is everywhere, it just may not be popular there at the moment. The inflation or deflation of it is closely tied to other stimulants. Think of it like a balloon that is paired meth and crack. When law enforcement makes a coordinated squeeze on one of the sides, the other gets bigger. It’s a never ending futile attempt to quell drug usage. People who want drugs will find them. And people who want to make money will find a way to get them there for profit.

I think in our case the actual criminal underground is the one who is choosing not to engage with meth on the street level.

It’s not a question of government enforcement, PR has MANY drug points which are small open-air drug markets. They regulate themselves and meth is not sold in them.

Handgun looks legit, but the AR looks like airshit (airsoft). Magazine is a dead giveaway (the little bit at the top left for feeding in pellets) as is the bubba'd drill battery with wires leading in (likely an AEG which uses the battery power to fire projectiles, instead of gas like CO2 or spring fired ones).
