Better hope you don’t get pulled in for inspection. Especially if you’re a company driver just get it changed. Not worth a hit on your license when it’s not coming out your pocket

It will be ten points if you get caught and most likely out of service then your employer takes a hit so pick up the phone and call let it be someone else’s butt ache to solve.

I would poke at it to see if the actual tread is separating or if it’s just that little strip around the edge. The chassis from the ports and rail yards usually look like this.

In my experience when they look like this you’re ok to drive to a shop, but if you try to go long distances they’re prone to slinging the recap off and fucking up the trailer or other tires.

Just drive on the tire where the tread’s good, and keep weight off the sidewalls. It’ll be fine. Till it’s not.
