It's a bowl. I don't own plates (college student). The pizza was at the rim of the bowl pre-microwaving but kind of collapsed in as it heated up

Did you consider using the bowl upside down. But either way I think it was in the microwave too long.

Not having access plates isn't a college thing. It's a lazy thing. When I was in college I picked up 4 ceramic plates at Ross for like $6. 15 years later I still got 3 of them.

It's more the space? I would have to keep them in a cabinet and I almost never eat anything that needs a plate instead of a bowl so it doesn't seem worth it.

I used to have a fork, a knife, a spoon and a big flat bowl or serving dish. That's all, you can eat plate things in a bowl. I washed it every time I used it, cause I'm not a pig, like my dormy Larry. Pizza boxes in his bed, for days at a time. Gnawing like a rat. I miss Larry, but only when I'm drunk.
