Oh that hit me last year when I was covering for our eastern section foreman. I was 44 at the time and my crew was 24, 22, 21 and 19. I was old enough to be their dad, and once they found that out, it was Pops all day long.
I made the little fuckers listen to my music all the way home that day.
When I realized I was the old guy at my work, it hurt. It cut me so bad!!! Only saving grace is that I got an S Tier wife so that stops people from ribbing me about being 44.

Sounds like a South Asian/Asian thing, cultures where there is a concept of “Aunties”: female elders who are thought to be wise but also judgmental.

The matron who knows how everything works and where the bodies are buried. Never heard the team before.
