Would you choose
32in 4k True Black Glossy Woled Asus XG32UCWMG $1000
Or
34’ UW in 1440p new Asus PG34WCDN $1300

I had a 34” OLED and recently moved to a 32” 4K.
I can say with 100% certainty that 4K OLED is better. The increased height and resolution are really noticeable and 4K has better support in most games, especially older titles.

Also do you think the curve makes the colors feel like they’re not as in your face as flat panel does? I hear the true black glossy feels like their colors are in your face more which looks better

I have the MAG 321URX which is a QD-OLED so can’t speak to the true black screens but I have hard they are very good.

Also what gpu and cpu are you running?
casdawer@reddit
9800X3D and a 9070XT

I’m thinking if I should return the pg34wcdn and get that true black glossy 4k, I have a Rtx 5070 ti and rx7800x3d what do you think?
casdawer@reddit
5070ti can more than handle 4K. If you’re still in the return window, do it.

Spend a little more for the LG 39GX950-B 5k2k imo.

It’s really pricey and I don’t know if my Rtx 5070 TI can handle it

You can snag from the LG Partner Store (Sign up for a free trial of Hulu to get access) and get 10% off, plus an additional 10% off for text sign up. Comes to around ~$1,600, which still is pretty ripping I'll be honest. Also with how good DLSS 4.5 is with the new presets, I think your 5070ti will be fine. Running it on a 5080 currently and it's been awesome.

None of the above. I try to avoid Asus on any product.

How come
PokerLawyer75@reddit
BEcause Asus makes garbage, and supports it like garbage. Including refusal to honor warranty.
IANVS@reddit
32" 4K, if your GPU can handle it. Extra vertical space is noticeable, more than 5cm left & right. 4K is better supported in games and media, 1080p scales better to 4K, the sharpness feels really nice, especially when reading/browsing...
Mundane_Force6888@reddit (OP)
I have a 5070 ti with 7800x3d, would you change to 4k if you were me? I bought the pg34wcdn recently
IANVS@reddit
If you already got it and you're satisfied, there's no need. Unless you do something that would benefit from 4K more? If you're curious about 4K, try to find a 4K monitor somewhere, any kind, and check it out in person, both at 125% and 150% scaling. That would be best...
5070Ti is good enough for games at 4K but it depends on specific games you play, first and foremost. A 3080 does the job for me at 4K 60Hz but I rarely play something demanding...
spusuf@reddit
ultrawide every time.
Mundane_Force6888@reddit (OP)
Ever play on a 4k?
spusuf@reddit
yes, and 480hz and 8k. My main gaming monitor is a QD-OLED ultrawide. 4k is diminishing returns that doesn't give a substantially different gaming experience (except for the fps loss).
yick04@reddit
You can't go wrong with either. I have that exact ultrawide, though, and it's excellent.

I bought it too, looks blurry to me a bit coming from a 28in 4k Samsung
