Yes, but I doubt your piss is gonna trip it. It's just extremly low quality def (both by nitrogen content & contamination). Enough def mixed in to get it to acceptable standard and it's good to go.

And the problem with def is at 32% nitrogen, it really likes to crystallize and there's not enough extra water to counter any evaporation. We had issues with the minibulk tote, started adding a couple gallons of distilled water to it. No issues now.

Just reading all of these responses I'm wondering if there is a way to just close loop the system? Pull the hose into the motor and run it into the def tank so the tank thinks it's pushing it into the motor but it's just filling itself?

No, because the sensors on the exhaust side are going to report a problem. The only way to bypass the DEF system is to reprogram the computer so it doesn't look for it while either removing the filter or drilling into it so it can't get clogged.

Yours didn't? Mine deflated its airbags and thanked Mango Mussolini for a solid 15 minutes before ejecting the DEF tank and flashing a message on the dash telling me I had 100 miles to remove the rest of the DEF system before it ejected the rest.

It will throw a code and start to derate, cutting power and speed, until it so derated it just crawl.

And no pee is not a substitute to def, the def quality sensor will flag it and derate the truck until the tanks is cleaned and have proper def.

DEF is made from bovine urine, so Holstein or Angus urine will work if you are near a cattle field. Hereford will work in a pinch but it stinks to high-heaven.

100% You can usually run it to redline in top gear after. However an automatic will just go into limp mode. Some trucks might limit rpm with a sensor out, so it won't necessarily gain you much over your governor speed or might be slower. However you CAN almost always run faster then emissions shutdown lets you go.

Sensor on a lot of trucks is just behind the transmission on the output shaft. Some do have it internally which makes it harder to locate and unplug.

Yup, look for a tone ring on the outputshaft or in some cases, the tone ring is inside a little housing. Should be the one sensor after the transmission housing and before the yoke.

Also works on some elds that read truck movement, although some elds use GPS too.
