How do I fix my 9060xt 16gb from underperforming?

I just build my 3rd pc the specs are:
I5 12400f
9060xt 16gb
16gb 3200mhz (1x)
I hop on apex with all low settings 1080p and only seeing like 130-150fps sometimes it goes up all the way to 250(if i look away from Big Area zone). From what i’ve seen on youtube benchmark videos, its usually around 250++ and never comes down from that.
The thing is my 3dmark timespy score are average which is perfectly normal score (15,800)
So I’m here wondering whats actually the problem, or is the fps normal for my specs.
What I have done :
- Installed chipset drivers
- installed gpu drivers
- update bios
- reinstalled windows
- xmp enabled
- tried adding one more 16gb stick of ram from my 2nd pc, there wasnt any performance increase

You should get advantage of dual channel (get another stick of ram) and upgrade the CPU. The CPU has to be strong enough for it to process a lot of fps the GPU is trying to send in.

Thanks, any recommendations for the cpu?

well, if you are solely gaming, an i5 is still enough. I'd say that you move to either 13th or 14th gen with a 600k processor (or the cheapest option, get a 12600k or 12700k)

Thank you!

Unless the videos are showing the same exact hardware that you have and playing the same games at the same exact settings.... there's no way.
And also, you can't really trust the channels that ONLY show side-by-side videos of different hardware in the same games... a lot of those can easily be faked. Easiest way to tell, but not concrete, is if they have links to different PC's that you can buy.

Thanks for the info!

When you installed the second RAM module, what slot were they both in? Did you confirm that they were running in dual channel mode at full speed?

They were in A2 and B2

What does task manager look like when this happens?

I used afterburner, high settings apex cpu was 40-50% and gpu is at 70-85% depends on the area.
ToothChainzz@reddit
That's a cpu bottleneck.

Thanks, I guess the benchmarks didn’t do me justice this time

Cpu bottleneck

I was thinking that but then I watched through benchmarks comparison between i5-12400f and i5-14400f and the difference is little to non, but yeah that could be the problem
