ATP reduction hours school

Does anyone have any recommendations on schools that have atp reduction to 1000hr besides California aeronautical university?

For what it’s worth, in the past few months I had multiple CJOs before reaching my RATP mins. Start class in 2 weeks at just above 1000 TT. Every CFI at my school with RATP mins has gone or is going to a regional at their mins. In my limited experience, it seems to be attractive to regionals. Other people may have different experience but it worked out for me.

The 1000 hour reduction is not useful in the current and short term foreseeable market. People are not getting hired at 1000 hours regardless of ratp status.
Go to a 141 all you want for cadet connections and whatnot but do not pick it for the 1000 hour ratp thinking you’ll instruct a day less time

This is not true, plenty of people hired at my airline recently have been right at 1000 hrs. All have been cadets though, so that part is correct.

And how many of those people could’ve spent the time in university class work instructing to build hours faster?
The truth is this comment section can bat anecdotal examples one way or another all day and night, but at the end of the day picking a 141 college for any ratp benefits is negligible at best

Don’t let any of these unhelpful people tell you that R-ATP is useless. They’re just butthurt it isn’t working out for them but I know multiple people (actual human souls) who got hired at 1,000 hours in the last year.
You’re just getting started, the market will be a lot different (for better or worse) when you get to 1,000 hours. If you want to go to a R-ATP school go for it.

I had an RATP. My friends who did 61 finished sooner and got to the airlines before me without the RATP and with less headache and less cost.

Ok sorry it didn’t work out for you.
I did military and Part 61 and the circlejerk to shit on 141 is getting out of hand here. Lots of pilots enjoy it and got into a great cadet program out of it even if they didn’t get hired at 1,000 hours.
It’s absurd this sub hates 141 while also telling people to get into as many cadet programs as possible. It’s completely counterintuitive. 141 open a lot of doors mom and pop 61 don’t do.
Maybe OP doesn’t have a budget and just wants to go to aviation school.

Cadet programs can be great! That’s not ratp tho, that’s a different benefit. There are genuine real benefits to going to a 141 university. I went and don’t fully regret it. However in modern market if you’re falling for the RATP marketing that’s an exceptionally expensive and foolish mistake

OP is just getting started, you know it’ll be a lot different then. So the modern market doesn’t apply.
Cadet programs isn’t 141/R-ATP but it definitely opens doors to them.

They’re wee hiring R-ATPs when it was first implemented very frequently from 2016-2019.

It worked out for me, I’m flying widebody under 30.
My point isn’t about me, it’s that 61 is even better and cheaper and less headache. Think less about 141 hate and more about 61 better

you guys can downvote me too because there were multiple people with only 1000 hours in my regional class last year... it's not "useless" you end up with a degree and have access to cadet programs which is a guaranteed job if you join a good one. if you join a 141 RATP program straight out of high school that's how you become a 21 year old airline pilot.

How long will it take you to get to “1,000?” 1,500? 2,000?
Mostly it depends on how long it takes you to get a (good) instructing/flying job.
A cookie cutter resume where you look just like everyone else you train with is zero help in finding a job.
There is a massive oversupply of new instructors. Your first goal in your flying life requires serious consideration of how you’ll build a resume for the first job.
There is some merit to R-ATP, but the people getting hired today at “R-ATP mins” are the last remnants of those hired as CFIs before pilot production exploded to record levels starting ~2023.
The search for your first job starts now. Not in ~250 hours…

Do not go to a school for a RATP. Means almost 0 in this industry. Can save so much money somewhere else
