this is an Argentinian dish, I didn't know this other dish existed!
EmbarrassedStreet828@reddit
It doesn't have a very Argentinian name, that's for sure.
Skalipxo@reddit (OP)
Actually, it’s because of our Italian heritage (I’m from Argentina), but I went to Naples and there’s no such thing as the Neapolitan milanesa as they sell it in Argentina it’s a dish created by Italians but popularized in Argentina.

I think the closest thing would be cotoletta alla bolognese:

It's not Argentinian, it's Italian: milan esa, napoli tana. /s

Mashed potatoes, fucking til tok as ruined food.

es pure de papas, mi ingles no es muy bueno, lleva un chorrito de leche, un poco de manteca, nuez moscada, una pisca de pimienta blanca. Delicioso
dmisfit21@reddit
Yea, that’s mashed potatoes
PresterLee@reddit
A classic for good reason, of course.

Found the rioplatense

Hose look to be just mashed potatoes, not “smashed potatoes” which are different.

Yeah, let's just slap random names on stuff... 😐 Abruzzese Calabrese Siciliana cotoletta di pollo. 😐 Bro a cutlet is a cutlet. It's a piece of meat in breadcrumbs.
Skalipxo@reddit (OP)
I just described it for people who don't know what it is it's an Argentine-style Neapolitan breaded cutlet
Fledermausmann69420@reddit
Or, you can say "I'm having a breaded cutlet with mashed potatoes."..... "Argentine style Napolitan" which one is it? Is it from Argentina or from Napoli?....
MrIceVeins@reddit
It does sound less pretentious
Skalipxo@reddit (OP)
My English isn't very good, and the name of the dish is literally "Milanese Neapolitan" because of our Italian heritage, but nobody in Naples eats Milanese that way, we also have Neapolitan pizza. Here, when something is "Neapolitan-style," it means it has tomato, garlic, and cheese on top. There are a lot of dishes in Argentina that we call "Neapolitan-style."

😐 Che confusione...

Yeah, it really shouldn't be called "Neapolitan," In fact, it's a topic of discussion in my country
ToriEvergreen@reddit
"breaded meat"
MrIceVeins@reddit
Like what KFC does with their crispy chicken
