"Oh I like this idea."

Ok well Air Canada officially did one thing I like this year. They disappoint me frequently but always with very good looking airplanes.

This livery is from 2021, not this year
AfterwardsCold@reddit
It’s still around, saw it at Pearson last weekend
ExpeditionBob@reddit
They didn't stop using it this year. I'll take that as the positive for 2026.

That's a nice one.
Bring back the polished AA liveries too.

Was just coming to say this. I miss the polished chrome AA livery. It was so unique.
ajyanesp@reddit
I think N921NN, a 738, is still polished.

I saw that in real life at ksna, forgot to take a photo but it does look great.

That engine still looks pretty large
ScaryDuck2@reddit
What aircraft? A220?
OstrichOk2793@reddit
Indeed
ywgflyer@reddit
For maybe a succinct example of how much travel has dropped off to the US as a result of the trade war -- this flight (the morning one) used to be a 787-9.
flightist@reddit
I think the 220s are YUL. 737s and 321s from YYZ. But the point remains; that’s a lot less daily seats.
ywgflyer@reddit
Yes, true -- but last summer, the morning YYZ flight was a B789 and there was the odd B77L redeye as well (I did a bunch of them in 2018/2019). That redeye is now either a B38M or A320 most of the time and has been going out with plenty of empty seats over the last little while. When I did it on the 777 it was full and we left half the standbys behind.
Competitive_Plum_970@reddit
Empty seats where? I can never get on standby.
flightist@reddit
I’ve been doing as many as I can (along with SFO) before I get rouged. Certainly hasn’t been much room any time my wife has been trying to tag along, but it’s a huge reduction in lift.
mitchy_116@reddit
Been on this plane, such a great look
kschischang@reddit
Got to fly on this earlier in the year. Very cool, very Canadian plane!
dannyghobo@reddit
AC should do more special livery’s
Left-Associate3911@reddit
Liking that retro livery.
maverick4002@reddit
Doesn't AA have one that looks similar to this?
