I was reading Flowers in the Attic and Silence of the Lambs at 11 or 12. Given to me by my aunt and read in the open at grandmas house. It was a different time!

Ubu was the dog of the creator of Family Ties, Gary David Goldberg. His life was the inspiration for the show, him and his wife were running a daycare in Berkley after college, living the hippie life. I think I remember him saying this photo was taken in the park and he talked so fondly of him. And of course it was his voice saying, "Sit, Ubu, Sit. Good dog." Weird how evocative something like this is in our brains having watched this show as kids.
