Which part of Oregon? Im from the Portland Metro area. I love log trucks but it looks like a difficult job, also every log truck does 100mph everywhere.
Most of us are paid by the load, so we’re trying to get as many runs in as we can before the mills close.
The learning curve is initially pretty steep, but it’s not rocket science. The only truly daunting part is the off-roading— the haul roads are very unforgiving if you make an error.
Nice. I have a dream of living somewhere near the beach. Leaving OTR and driving a log truck, just because i see them in peoples yards every time i go down there.
I'm telling you brother, watching the sunrise glimmer over the coastal range and reflect off the ocean waves— the smell of 30 tons of fresh cut cedar or fir behind your back as you cruise along the 101 on a quiet morning...
I run out to Warrenton a few times a week at my job and I absolutely love it. I'd like to move to the coast sometime, but for now I'm grateful I at least get over there for an hour or two regularly.
Nah, I drive for a water company running dry vans of racks of bottles and coolers between our branches. No CB in my truck unfortunately ;\~; but I wanna see if I can convince our mechanic to put one in mine once I have an assigned truck

Which part of the coast? I run up from Humboldt to Florence and over to junction city a couple times a week

There other part, haha :)

I can't get up there because of the length limit north of Florence. Maybe one day I'll come over from Portland

Flatbedder going to Hampton maybe? Haha you’ll definitely see me. Keep your CB on 17 and chat me up if you get eyes on me!
