any quick fixes for a broken radiator fan?

I was on a road trip with my family but then when were out in the middle of the borders the car starts overheating very frequently and we have to stop every now and then for a while now. my dad phoned a mechanic and he said the radiator fan isn't working and we're really far from home or anyone we know right now. the nearest mechanic is atleast an hour away. we can't drive properly for 5 mins also. anyone has any quick fixes even temporary is fine but we need to get to a mechanic and its almost night too.

No real quick fix, best you can do is drive in short bursts, watch the temp, and blast the heater to help cool it. If it overheats fast, towing is the safer move.

Fan is broken, how? Blade snapped off? Fan just doesn't work? I don't know of any fix for a car's radiator fan besides replacing it. But you could try this to see if it helps:
Your car's hood has a double latch. Pop the lever inside under the dash, leave the hood unlatched but leave the second latch in place. This will allow air flow ddirectly love the top of the engine which should help to keep it from overheating (it will still run hot though). As long as you keep a steady speed of around 40-50mph I think it may get you to your destination without it becoming a disaster.
If you can stand the heat in the cabin you could aalso turn on the heater which will help draw great from the engine block, but will dump that heat into the cabin.

thanks for the advice. we did all of these but the traffic was terrible but somehow reached our home safely. my dad has now become a master of driving and turning off the engine. the popping the hood thing really helped tho. we thought of the ac thing but the heat would literally boil us alive cuz even without ac the temp outside is atleast some 37 Celsius but the advice really helped thanks for that 😊😊

If the fan isn't working, it would overheat while stopped and be fine while driving with lots of airflow. Sounds like you are low on coolant, let it cool way down and check the level.

yea we tried driving really fast and that helped it a bit but the traffic here was really terrible. the coolant is half filled but my dad tried buying some just in case but he couldn't find a shop that sold some cuz we are in the village areas. we somehow survived yesterday that's for the advice 😁😁
