The eye in the middle of the triangle symbolizes the eye of God, while the angles are His three representations as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The illuminati symbol is different - it lifts up the image of the eye closer to the top, representing the higher hierarchical position or those who are illuminated above the rest of us
Suitable-Decision-26@reddit
It is Bulgarian, first of all. Also this is Christian symbol.
KhanofSeljuks@reddit
Oh stop. You are Mongol just like the rest of us. A steppe warrior doesn’t magically become European when he wears a cross necklace.
Dangerously_69@reddit
You do realize that the birthplace of the Indo-Europeans is the Eurasian steppe yes?
Suitable-Decision-26@reddit
The Mongols locked Bayazid in a cage. You are no Mongol my friend ;)
determine96@reddit
I mean it's not about the cross itself.
That cross (the church) was basically the Roman empire and our tzars, even some khans before that have studied in Constantinople, so the Byzantine way of ruling etc was implemented in Bulgaria.
Plus we had Slavs, we don't know the numbers but considering that tzar Boris who accepted the Christianity as an official religion and persecuted the paganism also invited St. Cyrill students to make Slavic alphabet and it became the language of the Bulgarian church and nobility probably they have significant numbers and influence.
But anyway we also respect the proto-Bulgarians as our founders and like to cosplay as a nomadic warriors.
Darx1878@reddit
You sound as ridiculous as the ultra-nationalist Bulgarians claiming they're of pure Thracian origin
qwerty_fu@reddit
Steppe wariors cant be a christian?
KhanofSeljuks@reddit
Bulgarians should be shamed for trying to underplay their Mongol roots and cosplaying as Christian Euros. Why else would he make the distinction between Bulgarian and Bulgar?
Proper-Actuary5623@reddit
Are you illiterati?
eatingnarutosnoodles@reddit
the eye is a symbol for god, god being basically one, non-dual and pure presence. Hence illustrated as an one eye
sceawer3@reddit
shit, we got caught.
vasjpan002@reddit
The GOA church in Ithaca NY has it on Last Supper. No, Illuminati stole it from us, it is the Eye of God.[] But that parish sparked "phyletism" controversy, metochion of Bulga= Patr in domain of EP

1388 registered churches (455 active) are just for comedic effect 🕌 let’s guess the number of mosques in entire Balkans? ;)

Way to many is the number
Early-Show2886@reddit
Na of course not.
There are also Catholic churches in Istanbul, and you must not forget that the Ecumenical Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church resides in Istanbul—the church and everything else.
