my budget is about 360 dollars or R6000 it may change and i use a tv as a monitor xd a friend of mine did say theyd happily give me their 2060 ti
Disastrous-Pin-7268@reddit
If it's for free u can just then get a monitor

Hey excuse the late response i just woke up. I mainly just want to be able to play games like stalker 2 and so on without needing to worry MUCH and games like tarkov and Forza horizon 6 and so on

It should handle then OK ish I think but u should check some benchmarks too see if it's alright for u I don't know the performance by memory.

if you can find a ddr4 kit of ram 32gb around 3000-3600mhz going to a 9060xt 16gb will also help future proof and will put you on fsr 4 the gigabyte one is around 500 bucks i am currently running that and its great and besides going to 1tb m.2 or adding a higher tb hdd for more storage id say pick up a msi tomahawk or aorus b550m board to move to atx which will help give you more options as far as case compatibility and better vrms, your cpu is fine the 5800x3d is being re-released if you wanted to go that route later but this list is in order of how id go for my upgrade path my specs are 5800xt 32gb 8x4 trident z neo rog strix b550f gaming wifi 2 9060xt gigabyte 256gb m.2 boot drive 8tb hdd corsair rm850x hope this helps😁

it helps alot thank you! just ram prices are ridiculous rn and idk where to buy and stuff and idk what compatible with my board and so on and stuff and id like to get a nvidia gpu soley for DLSS and the nvidia control panel like im still dumb about this and i barely know what bottlenecks and what doesnt and i only have like 360 dollars to spend and even then id only have the money in 6 or so months IDK IM SO SCARED AND DUMB

i got my ram kit on ebay for about 100 bucks at the start of the ram shortage but a used kit of ram is fine especially on a budget, Nvidia is great if your main focus is raytracing which the 2060ti is a great card but isnt being supported anymore i went from a 2060 to rx 6650xt for around 200 but adrenalin for the newer cards is very similar to geforce now, your current bottleneck is just the ram and gpu if you have 4 dimms you can find a 2nd kit of what youre currently running and it should atleast help a bit but you have an am4 board which is compatible with ddr4 ram only and i believe uses PCIe 3.0 maybe 4.0 for 1 m.2 and gpu, but honestly with a budget your best bet is to find deals on used stuff from marketplace, ebay, mercari etc. and you may be able to trade on there for your current hardware+cash to get you to where you want, are you looking for fps or graphics mainly?

uhh please dont hate me but i didnt understand alot of that... and im mainly just looking for middle ground i DONT mind playing a game on low but it would be nice to have some graphics that arent pixelated on blurry...
Careless-Jicama-3187@reddit
all good my guy, your best bet would be to try to take the 2060ti and flip it and pick up a 3060 non ti youll get more vram which will help with better graphics and is currently still being supported and will give better fps, then its just trying to find a good deal on a 32gb kit of ram and youll be good for awhile to save more on the backend for future upgrades😁

i can definitely try WOULD u be opposed to me dming you btw if not i completely get it i just wanna ask a few questions if thats ok 😭
Careless-Jicama-3187@reddit

Real talk, that 2060 Ti your friend's offering is a solid free upgrade — definitely take it if you can. For your \~$360 budget, I'd put it toward a 1440p monitor honestly, since you're using a TV right now. Even a cheap 1440p 144Hz panel will feel like night and day. Your 5600G and 3600MHz RAM are totally fine for gaming, no need to worry about those. And the 750W PSU can handle basically any GPU you'd throw at it down the road. What's your TV running at resolution-wise right now?

it just ENTIRELY depends on if they send it shes in france and she has NO idea how to mail things to me and she even offered to mail her old pc for me and sell those parts and uhh please dont judge... its a 59,99hz 1366x768

I'm guessing you probably mean "16GB DDR4 3200MT/s", as 1600 would be closer to DDR3 speeds.
If I were you, I'd start by upgrading your GPU. For around $300, it's the most meaningful and simple upgrade you could do right now.

a friend of mine is planning on giving me their 2060 ti! and on task manager my ram says 3600 Mhz i hope its not bad...
Nosferatu_V@reddit
3600 MHz is not bad at all! And the 2060Ti is also not bad, although you could sell it and leverage your budget to around the $500 mark, where you could get an RX 9070 or an RTX 5070. Both would be great choices, maxing out 1080p or, even better, 1440p!

Honestly you scared me with the ram stuff for a sec 😭 and id love to get myself an nvidia card i haven't exactly like amd cards much and i dont even know how or where to sell it! Im 17 xd and i had gotten this money by selling the vr headset i won to my parents and saving money for me is hard so its gonna be a struggle

I'm surprised you survived this long on a 470! If you had a 580 and budget was tight I'd say keep the 580 a little while longer. Anyways, since you have an AM4 motherboard you'd have to stick to an AM4 chipset otherwise you'd have to upgrade pretty much everything. So here are some of the things you could add to your current set up, in my order of recommendation: 1. Upgrade to 32GB of RAM (not recommend, RAM is way to expensive right now and you can probably get away with 16GB for a few years longer). 2. Upgrade your CPU to a Ryzen 5000 series X3D. Which one depends on your budget, but I'd aim for 5800x3d. 3. Upgrade your graphics card to just about anything. I'd pretty much look at what's the best graphics card you can afford and get that. Get it used as well, you'll be able to get way more bang for your buck. I've never bought a new graphics card and I've never had an issue (currently running a 6800xt for the last 3 years and have had no issues).
750w is absolutely fine for your PSU, don't touch that. 512GB is small but workable. I have 2x 1-TBs, one for the OS and utility programs and it's mostly empty, one for games and I'm constantly switching games out because I fill it up.

it actually runs tarkov at 40 to 60 fps sometimes as well which even to me is suprising
LibraryMinimum9189@reddit (OP)
ive had the 470 for about... a year? my mom bought it for me before that i was using integrated and my budget is 360 dollars? might change depending on what happens down the road and i barely even know where to buy anything 😭 i just want to be able to play stuff like stalker 2 without needing to worry much id honestly love to go for 32gbs and like 1tb of space and upgrade my cpu and if things go well my friend offered me their 2060ti for free as they dont use it and its just laying around and im not ENTIRELY sure its a 750w i believe it is from what i searched up online
arferfuxakenotagain@reddit
Is the ram 1 stick or 2? It should not be running that slowly, and you need a better graphics card.
LibraryMinimum9189@reddit (OP)
its not running slowly persay
but id like to upgrade so i dont have to worry, id like to play games like stalker 2 and such without exactly needing to worry i love my pc but people have been telling me i needa upgrade and sorry sorry its a 2 stick!!
LockLogical8949@reddit
What's your budget?
LibraryMinimum9189@reddit (OP)
