Between this and that DDM4V7P deal you guys have been simultaneously taking all my money and saving me all the money.
Schrödinger’s Outdoor Superstore is GTG!

I’m interested in German brands like HK and Walther. Wondering what’s everyone’s thoughts on VP9 and PDP? Which one do you prefer and why?
Clarity42@reddit
The PDP is preferable to me. Better ergonomics, trigger and better aftermarket support. That being said, the VP9 was the runner up for me.
ice445@reddit
The VP9 is slightly better, but imo its hard to justify spending the extra $ over a PDP on sale.
smokingonquiche@reddit
I find the ergos on the VP-9 to be better but they are very similar it really comes down to personal preference. I would hold and shoot both you but can't really go wrong with either.
KaneIntent@reddit
Isn’t the PDP much more popular with competition shooters?
ImSoHa@reddit
Shot a vp9 and pdp side before I bought my first gun. Pdp definitely better by far and cheaper
zzxgzgz@reddit
Thank you. And I agree, this deal is very good compared with the vp9a1 I saw in my local store.
ice445@reddit
The vp9 is less snappy if youre recoil sensitive, but if not its hard not to love the PDP. Just does everything well
ImSoHa@reddit
PDP by far
xangkory@reddit
Walther has better aftermarket support
CamelAdventure@reddit
Whichever fits your hand better. I'm a pdp owner but I actually prefer the vp9 quite a bit more. Haven't tried the new a1 line though
Hubbell34@reddit
Decent deal here, the pdp’s have the best factory triggers!!
NothingButACasual@reddit
But isn't that just the DPT trigger on some of the Pro models?
I'm really getting confused on which PDP's have the goos trigger.
ImSoHa@reddit
All the PDP have great triggers. The pros have even better triggers
WWardaddyy@reddit
All PDPs have the best triggers, the PRO models have the bestest triggers
cosmos7@reddit
Disagree. Base model with a DPT kit installed and a spring kit plus tune job will be a fair bit better.
The PPQ-compatible sear housing with the set screw in the DPT kit is pretty much always better than the Pro-model sear housing with the set screw... Beyond my own feelings I've confirmed this blind side-by-side with others.
GritsRespector@reddit
Yep. Walther plays a stupid game where the "Pro" version only has the trigger shoe and trigger bar. The standalone DPT also has an upgraded fire control unit which makes it twice as nice.
cosmos7@reddit
I will agree that Walther plays fast and loose with what they mean by DPT... on the F-series for example Pro DPT just means a new trigger shoe on the existing F-series trigger bar and housing.
We know for sure that the first few years of the Pro SD that they did not come with an enhanced sear housing with the set screw, but later models do seem to have some form of set screw on the long ejector housing.
That's why I made the distinction... the last Pro SD PDP I picked up did have the long ejector with the set screw, but it was no where near as good as what I expect so I swiftly changed it out for a standalone DPT kit. Not sure why the PPQ-compatible sear housings are better but they very much are... set screw or no. Putting a 40 S&W sear housing in one of my PDPs so I could run a 40 PPQ top end made a huge difference to the standard trigger just by itself.
KaneIntent@reddit
They’re all supposed to have the best striker fired factory trigger. However the DPT upgraded trigger is even better.
Swazland@reddit
The Pro line (and perhaps a few others) have the DPT, you can tell by the flat trigger face and the flat safety lever with 3 holes tapped in it. That said, the non-DPTs have an excellent trigger too!
The difference is not as huge as some would have you believe, especially if youre firing at any significant pace.
btrner@reddit
Do you hold mags to ship without for 10rd states?
SportsmansOSS@reddit (OP)
Yes. In some instances, dealers will accept with hi cap mags and pin them for compliance when received. Check with your local dealer to see if they do this.
CrankBot@reddit
Good on you. I'm in a restricted state but my FFL is happy to make my mags compliant. It sucks when the seller won't ship them anyway
toxic_badgers@reddit
My pdp is my favorite striker fired pistol.
Nips_Ahoy@reddit
Any 10 round versions?
MashMashSkid@reddit
The link doesn't take you to the deal, and this website is terrible for searching. I gave it 40 seconds to try and find what you're referring to, and give up
JOEYballsGOTTI@reddit
Worked for me, might be a problem if you're using the app?
MashMashSkid@reddit
I am on the app
FreNnPrenS@reddit
Worked for me on the app
MashMashSkid@reddit
Don't know what to tell you, I'm on the app and it just takes me to the front page of their website. Then you have to filter under each manufacturer, you can't just search PDP
basicKitsch@reddit
Then use a different browser. Link works
hdnd-s-s@reddit
Link is working

Glad I snagged an OD green one the other day. Looks like they went back up to 599.
