Toyota Hilux 2004 - 5LE - 320,000kms 🇦🇺

Greetings car enthusiasts.
G’day everyone,
I’ve got a 2004 Toyota Hilux 5LE dual cab (with canopy + tub) and I’m working through getting it fully roadworthy again.
At the moment I’ve got a list of things to fix (tyres, brakes, suspension, etc.), but this weekend I want to focus on rust.
I’ve attached some photos — there’s surface rust underneath (chassis, brackets) and some on the body as well.
My plan was:
Wire wheel / flap disc to remove rust
Then rust converter
Primer + paint
Just wanted to ask:
Is this the right approach for underbody rust on a Hilux?
Any tips for getting into tight spots or stopping it from coming back?
For body rust — is it worth attempting a DIY repair + respray, or better to leave that to a shop?
Any products you recommend (I’m in Australia — Bunnings/Supercheap accessible)?

The best way of getting it cleaned up is probably dry ice blasting, dunno if its made its way down under but quite popular in Europe now minimal abrasion to clean the surface back to original and then probably chemical rust treatment, primer, maybe a textured paint like Upol Gravitex or something to help with any stonechips in the future
Hardest part is cleaning within the chassis rails thats where the rust tends to propagate particularly forward of the rear wheels where the rails curve downward, not sure on the best product but you ideally want to pop out any bungs and spray the fuck out of every one with a straw in the nozzle to go as far as possible

Hillux, the workhorse of terrorist groups worldwide. For the Americans, that's 186,000 freedum units.
