What would you want to experience if you could live someone else’s everyday life in the UK for a day?

I was thinking about how different people’s daily routines can be across the UK, jobs, lifestyles, cities, even just small habits.
If you could swap into someone else’s normal day for 24 hours just to see what it’s like, what kind of life would you pick and why?
Adorable_Orange_195@reddit
If I could switch with anyone for a day it would be with someone who doesn’t have AuDHD & disability caused by health issues.
For a long time all of my issues went undiagnosed as I just thought life was this hard for everyone, turns out it’s not and so it would be really interesting to have verification if exactly how my struggles differ, that way I could advocate for my struggles properly. Because as it stands I can’t explain how my AuDHD makes my life harder because I don’t know any different but I know it does have a profoundly detrimental impact, I just don’t have the words/ comparisons to explain it.
Other than that I have no desire to switch with anyone else.

I’d be queen… fuck the peasants!
VolcanicBear@reddit
Nah, you don't want to fuck them. They're revolting.

I identify as a billionaire in a poors man body. So for a change I could simply be a binman.

It would be interesting to be in a highly classified government role for a day, like someone very important at MI6, or someone deep in government who witnesses sensitive information, discussions and disclosures every day.
Defiant-Tackle-0728@reddit
Its not that great.....I spent a period in the Civil Service, in a number of departments including the Cabinet Office....
Shot_Net3794@reddit
I'd just spend hours reading all the classified intelligence as I'd love to know all the crazy events in the world that we'll never know about

It’s a fascinating job if you have a strong analytical side - heavy on piecing together fragments of information from many unconnected sources and seeing if you can glean the bigger picture.

My sisters because I sometimes find myself wishing I had her life but I imagine the reality would be eye opening

A stay at home mum and wife of a man with ‘old money’ 😁🤩. Don’t have to want for a thing. A lady of pure leisure
Nice_Back_9977@reddit
Skip the 'mum' bit if you want pure leisure and just be a stay at home wife!
RoyofBungay@reddit
Sod the wife thing. Just have said man visit once or twice a week for ‘maintenance issues’.
manecupcake@reddit
THIS to be honest I can get behind; but where’s the riches coming from? I’m about ready to retire (I’m 33) lol
RoyofBungay@reddit
Well if you want to retire early you may want to consider being a lady of negotiable affection, especially if the aforementioned man is in the picture.
manecupcake@reddit
Loool but then I would never experience being a mum. (Still waiting on my turn)

In England, someone, happy, healthy and upper class, with a wealthy, healthy, loving, faithful husband, a personal trust fund, in a large country home, with a cook, housekeeper, 2 maids, gardener/pool man, chauffeur/security, 20 acres of partially wooded land and large lawns, within a 60 minute drive of shopping/dining and entertainment.

I know - I even managed to meet him on my most recent visit since he’s still a YW. 😊 That’s not living a day in the Ravenmaster’s shoes, though!

I am not fit, with bad ankles, a damaged knee and occasional bouts of gout. I'd love to spend a day in the body of someone who doesn't experience pain every single moment of everyday. Chronic pain is a bitch

If I had the skills, working as an ER doctor/surgeon saving lives... and the lows of knowing I couldn't help some people.
I think it'd be an exhilarating and humbling experience.

I would like to drive the length of England and Scotland and stop off at certain places. Yorkshire, Blackpool, Liverpool, Hull. These are all places I've heard of on television shows we get here, but they're just words. M1, M2, M3, BBC1, BBC2, BBC3. Sounds like part numbers to me.
I would also like to see how it is in London. Go to a pub. Hear about the football. Take a cab somewhere. I don't know if I would talk to a local. I don't think that's allowed. And I wouldn't want to let it known that I'm an American there That might not go over too well under the present circumstances with our illustrious chief orange. I don't know really. See the sights, but not like a tourist. Explore on my own sort of thing.

Hmm, someone with a partner and kids. I live alone and definitely won't be having children. There are many reasons for this and I'm certain it's right for me, but I am curious -- it must be so different, living with a partner and children. I'm partly curious about how on earth they manage (I barely succeed in looking after myself -- I dread to think how it would work with the responsibility of children too). But also curious about the positives, because I don't doubt that there are positives. I don't really see anyone outside of work, and sometimes I work from home so don't speak to anyone for days and days. As an extreme introvert, I'm mostly happy with this, but sometimes it feels a bit unhealthy and I do wonder what it would be like to share one's everyday routines with others.
I suspect it would just reconfirm my desire to continue living alone. But you never know!
